I got my first REO, a black wrinkle LP Grand in the mail today. Started out with a .5 Ohm single coil and the flavor / vapor was kind of disappointing. Put a .4 Ohm dual coil build in there and this thing really came alive with great flavor and vapor.

The dual coil build gets this atty hot enough I'd probably go with .5 or .6 for my next build but I'm happy for now. I've been vaping this same juice in a Derringer clone for the past few days and the RM4 is right there with it, AFAIC.

It's neat to finally have one of these. :thumb:

They are a lot smaller than I thought.

How do I get the atty to sit flush on these?

Nice! Welcome to the 'Ville :toast:

Lovely looking setup you have there. The 510 connector is adjustable on the mod using the hex wrench that came with your reo (assuming you got it, parts intact, from Rob). It's reverse threaded, so twisting it counterclockwise pulls it into the connector (clockwise winds it out) - just insert the wrench into the pin in the center of the 510 and turn. This will allow you to seat the atty at different heights.

Going from .5 to .4 shouldn't make THAT much difference, you probably got the coil positioned (relative to the air intake) better on your 2nd build. Even a mm difference in it's location can make a noticable difference, in flavor, TH and vapor production.

I lowered it until it stopped before I took the pic. Didn't want to try and force it any further.

There was also the addition of a second coil. Don't know if that matters or not.

It looks close enough.. you don't want the atty to totally bottom out and scratch the paint.

If you do want it closer check the center post on the atty and see if it sticks out past the threads some.. if it does one could sand the pin some. Then the atty would sit closer. Or you could try pushing the center pin up on the atty as well but it may be super tight.

If your 510 is fully recessed, and you still have a gap, you have 3 options remaining:

1) Send back for a readjustment. Rob had to pick SOME centerpoint for the 510's and some atomizers just have much longer threads...
2) Slap an o-ring under there. Not a bad idea anyway - it provides some leeway in screwing down, letting you "aim" the airhole where you want, fills that gap and seals up the area against any seeping...
3) Don't worry about it. LOL

Welcome Metal!!!! Great to see another porcher become a squonker!! Really glad you're liking that Rm4. Squonkin is so much better than drippin!! As you've seen, you'll find all the help you need with any questions or issues you might have. Super_x_Drifter on youtube has a lot of great Reo videos too. Dunno if I told you, did you cut the inverted v in the bottom of the feed tube to keep it from suctioning to the bottle? The black wrinkle is a classic!! Now get ready for the release of the resins! lol
