First step questions

Hi all,

I just checked the USPS website and my Riva and Kr8 kits are out for delivery today.
In a couple of hours they should be at my front door.

I can't access any youtube videos on this computer, so I'm just wondering what the first steps/setup is.

How long do they need to charge before I can use them?

Is there a thread here that walks you through the unboxing and setup for your first vape?

The Kr8 is coming with prefilled cartomizers and the Riva comes with blank carts and a bottle of juice.

some people will tell u to leave them on the charger for awhile before you use them but they should come with a charge so for the kr8 put one of the batteries on the charger and just screw a carto onto the other and vape away. for the riva you can do the same thing except blow out the atty first, drop a few drops of liquid on it and take like 6-10 puffs without inhaling and repeat. hopefully you won't have a bad primer taste. you can try filling one of the carts and using it but youll probably just have better luck directly dripping onto the atties they came with. if you ordered the riva 901 you can probably use your kr8 cartos on it
also where did you order your riva kit from? im needing a second one and a bottle of juice with it sounds good :)

Hey Doc, I recently bought a Riva and was in the same predicament you now find yourself in - the leaflet that came with it advised an 8 hour charge then another hour charge shortly after - I trudged through the forums and found a lot of advice which suggested that just initially charging till the light goes out would be sufficeint - 3 weeks later and I've had no performance issues at all and the battery lasts all day with no problems just needs a couple of hours charge in the morning.

can't comment on the kr8 I'm afraid

Theres probably loads of step by step threads for both but as for the Riva;

Charge the battery till the light goes out - fill a cartridge with ejuice (pull out the stuffing a little bit drop juice on it till saturated then push back in) push cart onto atomizer - press button and inhale . . . . . then never smoke a real cigarette again :)

Just refill when needed and charge the battery daily - and clean any residue off when necessary.

All the best and enjoy the Riva

(p.s I actually have the Riva SE so not sure if the batteries have the same duration as a standard)

I ordered the Riva 510 starter lite bundle from Liberty Flights.
The juice doesn't come with the bundle, sorry didn't mean to mislead you.
I actually ordered 9 different 5ml sample bottles of juice to try out with it.
The whole order came out to $51.52 after the 20% discount on the site.

I've also placed separate orders with madvapes for extra juice and accessories, and some pure nic and flavorings from e-cigs so that I can start experimenting with my own recipes next week.

lol its all good i got plenty of juice anyway that just would have been a plus.. really shouldn't be ordering anything anyway but its hard not to. once you try out some flavors if you like sweet flavors or fruity flavors try hitting up honeyville for some juice. there sales over but they had it and i ordered 8 samplers from them and everything but there tobacco flavors are really good, especially the blueberry muffin :D
