Riva 510 Battery Question

According to the manual for the Riva on Liberty-Flights (PDF link) (upper left hand panel) for the first charge you should plug it into the charger for 8 hours, use it for 20 minutes then charge it again for 1 hour.

Is this accurate? I thought I'd read somewhere here that they actually come ~80% charged?

Just trying to maximize battery life and not screw up my new toy.

[USPS tracking states that my Riva is out for delivery today and my juice came yesterday] :headbang:

That's outdated, those batteries don't have a memory effect. You can use or charge them when you want to. They usually come partially charged. Use one when you get it and put the other on the charger and let it go till the light turns red then charge the other one. If you want top the battery off after a little use it won't hurt nor change anything.
