First steps into the world of e-cigs but need more TH!

Hooray, my Elegant arrived. After a bit of fiddling I finally worked out what bit goes where and how to make it work.

So after my first attempts I was amazed that they actually do seem to produce a smokable smoke, there is a future in e-cig's I am sure.

As for the Elegant, as it's name describes it is indeed very elegant! I went for all black and I like it.

My only noticable issue is that I find it is quite a bit weaker in terms of smoke quantity / thickness and thus TH than my Marlboro Ultra Lights (which I would have thought to be pretty light as they were). This was using the Marlboro 16mg cartomizer included with it.

I often find myself having to 'double press' the button to get a strong enough hit. (I press it once, after a few seconds I hear a click, I then release and press again, and inhale on this one)

So, my questions are...
1. Is it normal to have to press twice?
2. Where should I start first to improve the smoke quantity / TH. (Was thinking about a low resistance 901 atomizer with my own carts).

Cheers,

Gareth

I'm not familiar with the Elegant, but I believe DonDaBoomVape is an expert. Have you seen this post? I'm sure he would see your question if you posted it there.

To improve vapor production and throat hit, you should first look to your vaping "technique" and the juice you're using.

A "direct inhale" is when you inhale directly into your lungs, instead of drawing a mouthful of vapor and then inhaling it. The advantages of learning to do this (without choking yourself out), is that you will get all the throat hit you can stand, and it produces a lot of vapor.

I've no idea what kind of juice you are using, but try other vendors' stuff as well. Vapor, flavor, TH, just about everything varies wildly from vendor to vendor. Look for vendors that a LOT of people are raving about, not just a few people.

Nicotine strength has very little to do with "throat hit" for most people, but it has a LOT to do with satisfying your nicotine craving. Not enough, and you really, really want a cigarette. Too much, and you can have an upset stomach, like you've swallowed some tobacco/tobacco juice. You may even have gas and/or a sudden case of ......... You can get a sudden headache that goes away within 15-30 minutes. Nicotine tastes a little like "pepper" on the back of your tongue.

PG/VG ratio makes a big difference on TH. PG is harsher on your throat, meaning more TH. VG puts out more vapor, but has very little TH. You can get juice in different ratios, all PG, or all VG.

I echo Quasi's post, particularly regarding posting on Don's thread. Bear in mind that I too am a newbie. I'm currently vaping using my Hello 016 battery (more mAh than the Elegant's) with a 901 LR atty.

But I'm a dripper. From what I understand, your greatest issue using a LR atty with your carts is that you have to practically drip to keep the atty wet enough not to blow it. I read Don's post when he first put it up. I'm pretty sure he went through his suggestions on how to use LR attys with the Elegant.
