Lithium ion batteries don't have a memory effect. That means you don't have to fully charge and discharge them to get a longer use out of them. However, a fully discharged li ion battery can't be charged again (I think?) but there's protective circitry in the battery to prevent it from fully discharging.

I would charge it until the LED on the charger shows it's charged and just vape on from there.

You're right, the first charge and discharge is probably the best it'll ever be but you have something like 200+ discharge cycles before you'll notice it's getting old. Age of the battery is also a factor though.

I do the same as I do with any re-chargeable item I have, full long charge before first use and always best to run them rite down.

When mine arrived I popped one on charge while I went through the instructions and the other goodies I'd ordered by which time the light had turned green, started vaping and charging the second.

I say anything that will prolong the overall life of a battery is worth doing since they are an essential part of your set up.

Most chargers stop charging when the light turns green, so it doesn't matter how long you leave it on the charger after that, it will not continue to charge. That applies to lithium battery chargers. NiMh and NiCad chargers may continue to charge as long as they are connected. The NiMh chargers I have, switch to a very low trickle charge after the green light comes on.

You really don't want to over-charge lithium batteries, even if you could. Thats when things start getting a little flaky.

So, I say, charge 'em til the light turns green and vape away.
