Hey everyone,
So i have ordered a VISION 1300mAH Spinner EGO VV - FATBOY and i was wondering how long should i let it charge on the first charge. Ive always had second hand batts so never had to deal with the first charge before.
Also is it fine to leave it overnight charging each time it needs it or will it screw up the batt.
Hope someone can help :)

I've used many egos and it didn't seem to matter about the first charge but maybe 5hrs??

Egos are known to go up in flames or explode when charging, usually probably the slightly abused ones, but ya never know. So, NO. If you have to, put in a fireproof container near a window for possible ventilation.

Mostly, don't sweat all this. It's either going to work right or not and it's beyond your control.
I've had egos last 2yrs and still good, others DOA.

    And, hey- WELCOME!!!!

Same kind of battery... If you have to, at least do it in a waythat's not going to spread a possible fire. Some people use lamp timers.
I usually charge my cool fire iv every other night (6 hours in charger max), it takes about 4 hours to fully charge and it does have a overcharge protection.

Phones and laptops I've not really cared about, and they're in the charger almost all the time. Don't know why I am more worried about ecigs [emoji14]

Yeah, definitions change all the time around here I guess. I was thinking what used to be a common PAD smoker would use up the Coolfire in a day easy @ 4-5ml of eliquid.
I smoked 1- 1/2 packs a day, switchrd to vaping in February at 24mg, chain vaped it all the time. Then recently got down to 12mg. I use the battery up in a day and a half (almost). I can't really vape all the time either, so I take several major hits and that's enough. I'm still very addicted to nicotine and throat hit, and I vape every time I have the chance. I really don't think I am a "light" user ;)

The charger will tell you when it's done charging. A cheap eGo charger may take 6 - 8 hours to charge a 1000+ mAh battery. A good one will do it in about 4 hours. Don't ever leave a battery charging unattended. The chances of anything going wrong are pretty small, but if something does go wrong it can go very wrong very quickly. Better to be safe than sorry.

Lithium batteries don't need a long first charge. Just charge until it's fully charged, and good to go. Some sites still say to do so, but it's absolutely NOT needed for lithiums. (May be good for NiCads, but those are NOT for vaping!!)

And do take to heart the words about not charging unattended. Usually there's no problem, but if there is, you want to be able to deal with it - quickly!

These ain't your granddad's rechargeable batteries. The li-ion cells we use for vaping are the same kind as are used in your laptops and cell phones, so just treat it like you would one of those. They don't have the "memory" issues of batteries from days past. They like to be charged early, and often, no need to charge or discharge fully before starting or stopping charging them. Just plug it in whenever you think about it to keep it topped up for when you're ready to go.

But won't that decrease the life tile of said batteries?

No, not at all. Nicad, yes. Lithiums are rated the average full charge cycle. Charging early and often, so it's not a true "full" charge cycle, can actually help to extend that life.

As Bwh79 says, not your granddad's rechargeables!

Ok stupid question...what is a lamp timer...again sorry haha!

one of those timer gizmos where you plug it into the wall, and you plug your lamp in and it turns your lamp on at night for a few hours to make it look like somebody's home.
