First time Esmoking in public - no big deal

Today I went shopping with my ecig I walked around 2 different stores then was walking around the mall for probably 3 or so hours holding my ecig in my teeth just puffing away. got some funny looks in the mall but they were all almost entirely from guys. My assumption on that is that they thought i had some sort of weird oral fixation lol Didnt even get questioned when I walked between two security guards and exhaled a decent sized plume less than 5ft from them. Either people in Phoenix don't pay attention to whats around them or they just dont care but no one even seemed to notice. Honestly It makes me kind of sad I was hoping for atleast a little confrontation like some of you have mentioned.

I'm not old enough to go to a bar lol.. Im only 19 and in america at 19 they'll throw you out on your ... just for walking in unless its also a restaurant but I would have thought they'd have had a **** fit about me walking around the mall puffing away lol

Ryle, it makes me sad -- not mad, sad -- that you are 19 years old and making yourself a nicotine addict. For gods sake, why? Don't you know the facts about nicotine? Surely you know about the dangers of smoking, but nicotine has its own troubles. Many members of this forum are older and much wiser than you. Few would ever choose to start nicotine addiction in the first place, knowing what we all know now. I certainly wouldn't. I was a stupid teen-ager when I started. But back then we didn't know what we know now.

E-cig or real cig, don't get addicted to nicotine. It's not smart or chic or cool. It's dumb. Listen to this forum full of addicts reduced to sucking vapor. Now, go give your e-cig to some homeless dude and feel good for the gesture.

Nicely said t-bob... Im only 24 years old and started smoking when i turned 18.. At least now i am smart enough to quit smoking cigarettes BEFORE i did a ton of damage or was diagnosed with something. I feel so much better than i did when i smoked. Other than smoking i have never drank, did any drug or get into any other trouble. I am extremely happy i found e cigs. It made it very easy to make the switch. I am the manager of an adult entertainment club and now i can spend more time inside getting bull from the girls instead of outside smoking. Everytime i vape inside alot of the customers come up and ask me all about it. Positive experiences vaping in public

Lol I thought of all places this would be one of the last that I would be criticized for being a smoker. I actually started smoking less than a month after I turned 13 did it all because my daddy told me not to. Was never a "cool" choice. Simply my way of proving he couldn't control me. Stupid thinking of that now but it was a big deal to me back then. Please don't make the assumption that just because I'm young and I smoke I did it to be popular or cool or whatever other reason most people start smoking. For me to smoke a cigarette was more taboo in my home than to smoke weed or get drunk or any thing else like that. Funny enough I was never a huge fan of any of the others.

I dont think anyone was criticizing... i think more concerned lol... T-bob speaks from experience. I am young to and when someone with more experience in something than me i usually at least listen to their advice. E smoking for now seems alot healthier than the alternative so do it up

You're right stevo I probably shouldn't have used the word "criticized" I guess I tend to react negatively when people tell me I'm too young for something or make assumptions about me that aren't true
