First time going digital...

You chose a very good PV - Ego is the most recommended for heavy smokers and those who need or want long battery charge life.

If your liquids are 100% PG you might want to do some research into PG/VG blends and what menthols are popular. VG adds more visible vapor and smooths the feel of the vapor though it dulls TH. Some popular ratios are 70pg/30vg, 80pg/20vg and some people like 50/50

12mg strength juice is pretty low for most people, especially when starting out.
How much of what kind of cigarettes do you smoke now?

Sure wish my new Super eGO was here already... Heh
Think I read somewhere that 16mg's of eJuice was equal to a Light analog cig.

That's actually quite possible. I was a PAD Marboro Lights smoker, and I have found that 18mg is about right for me, but in the mornings the 24mg does better for the wakeup vape.

No need to worry...

If you are trying to equate how much nicotine you get vaping with how much you got smoking, it doesn't work that way.
I can give a lot more details if that is your concern, but the bottom line is the absorption rates are very different.

Basically, you should probably use whatever strength you need to eliminate strong cravings.
The rest will work itself out over time.

I'm guessing based on your current nicotine intake, 12mg might be too low.
But if it works for you, all the better.

Good job and welcome to ECF! Hope your vaping experience is everything you dreamed it could be. I know it was for me. Three weeks and not a puff from an analog. NO cravings either. I made a seamless transitions in a single day and haevn't looked back....though I picked up a new hobby that I can't stop spending money on! There are So many toys to play with!! Nevertheless, the benefits far outweigh the negatives. Good luck and vape on!

An eGo is a great first pv. It gives you good battery life, and is easily tweeked with different atomizers or cartomizers. I was a PAD Kool smoker. I started with 18mg juice, but couldn't give up cigs until I moved up to 24mg. I keep some 30mg for emergency cravings. You might want to pick up a couple of 5ml bottles of juice in 18mg and 24mg just to try.

16-18mg is about the same. 10-12 is usually the next lower level, and 24 the next higher level.

I use 16-18.

Hi again everyone,

My Super eGo came in the mail the week after I first posted here. Ohh my the first time I took a hit from it I almost passed out from the Nic. eGo went back in the box and hasn't come out again until last night 4mo later. Filled my own cart this time with Minty Menthol 12mg and for some strange reason I love it now. I haven't stopped vaping since last night sometime around 20:00.
Hope I'm able to keep on vaping cause I crashed and burned on my first attempt to stop the Analog's.
