I am using my first cisco 306 with xl drip tip and avidvaper drip shield. I like the setup. However, I am really not impressed with performance. The vapor is huge. I am a diehard boge 2.0lr carto guy. I use them in my tanks and the reo. I noticed with my 306lr that the TH is just not there compared to the carto. Also, more disappointingly, the taste is vague and barely recognizable. I have read so much about how the 306 really brings out the flavor and effect of the juices one uses. But it doesn't seem to stack up to my cartos. With my boges, I get tons of flavor and a good kick with the TH. Anyone else have this experience? I have only used 1 so far so maybe it's a dud? I am reluctant to assume this, though, because it is working fine as far as I can tell. Just getting low performance from it. Also, I am in the learning curve, as I have already had 3 bad dry burns. I am used to the cartos lasting forever between squonks lol. I still have a few i06s that I havent tried yet, might give 1 a go later.

Atomizers usually require a breaking in period before they start pumping out really good flavor.

I usually find that it starts to improve after a couple of hours. After a day or so of use it is usually rocking.
I found it very easy to flood 306's as well, took me a while to get the hang of them.

yeah, that's why I bought a drip shield. I am so active, I can't deal with the hassle of leaking juice.
Well its not leaking that was the problem, but I found I got less vapor and really muted flavor if I over squonked and flooded the atty a bit.
I'll have to remember that. I guess I'll have to figure out how to time my hits in between squonking and not running it dry or flooding. Definitely something to get used to.
Sweet flavors tend to get washed out at 1.5 ohms. You got any tobacco juices you like? I'd try those at 1.5 ohms and the sweeter stuff at 1.8.
It sounds like you are flooding the atty. I always think it is a good idea to start using a 306 with a transparent or translucent drip tip so you can see what you are doing.
Some squonking tips:
If you are using a 510, squeeze lightly until you just begin to see a glimmer of juice in the holes of the overflow well. When you release, it will disappear. Short unpowered hit, and you are good for 5-8 nice vapes.
For a 306, the "blind squonking" method works best. Squeeze the bottle lightly and suck on the drip tip (unpowered) until you feel a small amount of resistance or hear a light gurgle. Short unpowered hit. If you have a clear drip tip, you should just see a sheen of liquid on the top of the atty. (If it is more than half-way up the bridge/mesh, it's flooded...blow it out). Also now good for 5-8 nice vapes.

Gorilla juice is not that great at 1.5 either IMO
Even though its a tobacco flavor that hint of banana gets really funky at low ohms
I've always found the Boge cartos to have the best throat hit of any device ....
I've often wondered if its because we are burning the filler ??? Yuk, I hope not.
But TH aside when the 306 breaks in and when (if) you ever get used to the exact amount needed for peak performance the flavor should be about 120% of a Boge carto. But for me attys are a huge pain in the azz just to get 20% more flavor ... some of the time. And less TH to boot.
Good luck, even if you don't stick with them its good to give them an honest shot.
The more hardware you master the better vaper you become.
It takes a little experimentation to find what works best with your juice and style of vaping, but you'll get there. Having a reliable pv, like a REO, makes it much easier.
Today while using my Reo I wasn't getting as much vapor as I was the day before. I even tried a brand new cartomizer and battery but that didn't seem to help . . . turns out I was over-squonking and that definitely cuts down on the amount of vapor it produces. I find I can get 6-8 good drags off of one squonk.
