So I received a package of flavors and a liter of vg and some nicotine base in the mail today I decided to give my first mix ago... it turned out great! I am very pleasantly surprised... It turned out better than the b&m e liquid I have tried! Has anyone else experienced to this? It seems unethical for them to sell the eliquid at the price they do!

I had the same reaction when I first started diy myself! Plus the freedom of tweaking the recipe to your liking makes it even better. That on top of the really cheap materials... Who needs to buy juice anymore...

... Well I still do because there are a couple juices I just cannot seem to clone haha.

I started diy-ing about a year ago. I have close to a hundred flavors. Its been so fun experimenting with the combos. But now...
I make mostly one recipe, make it in bulk - like 5 30 ml bottles at a time. I use that flavor one on my dedicated everyday device. One other recipe is my stay at home for the stay at home device. I have a few other stay at home devices that I use unflavored recipe with just a hint of flavor. Point of this is... I have a bunch of flavors I just don't use anymore. Sure is nice not buying untried e-juice from on-line. I still like to occasionally go to vape shops and try their stuff. It's fun too.

I experience this all the time. Think you like your vape now then just wait until you get more experience under your belt. Your mixes will improve drastically with experience.

To hone your skills do some research. There's no better place to start then the following:

My blogs will give insight into all aspects of DYI, from steeping to what supplies to have on hand to a basic walk through mixing your first E-juice.

Then read hoosier's blogs. These blogs concentrate on fine tuning your mix and give insight on additives.

Then read Boletus's blog's. These blogs concentrate on formulation of nicotine bases regarding proper calculations methods for figuring Nicotine concentration as well as safety.

Then read Ginger's book "E-Cigarettes 102: DIY E-Liquid". It is a book which I've contributed to that delivers an in depth easy to follow guide in the art of DYI.

I recommend viewing VPLive Vape Team Episode #82: DIY Safety and bookmark it for future reference. It explains safety in all aspects of DYI.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.
