Hi, just got my first vape and its also a mechanical mod. The mod I've chose to be my first vape is the k100 from fasttech.
  • Used it for the first time and the mod started to get hot.
  • Played with the batteries and switched them around/charged 'em.
  • Seems like the batteries are already worn out (maybe left them on the charger too long, my fault)?

Well, what im trying to get at is that im hoping to get a reference of what batteries to buy.
  • Good name brand
  • Good quality
  • Long lasting
  • Battery Kit (battery and charger)
  • Able to handle sub ohms (going to be modding rbas)
I am not around a wall outlet often so I would appreciate the battery to be very dependable and durable.

Site recommendations are welcome.
Thanks

-Edit-
Searched around the site, and seen a thread about RTD vape site or something like that. I have no clue what is going on there. Just want a simple long lasting safe battery that also come with a charger of its own instead of buying them both separately. One transaction would be nice.

--Edit x2--
What do you guys think of the Trident clone against the Nimbus clone? Pro's/Con's?

Used my vape for a day and now it's like Im waiting for my vape in the mail again. Stock batteries are .....
I'll wait for more references before purchasing.

You're mod should not be getting hot!!! Warm near the coils possibly but not hot. You may have a short. You can check this with a multimeter. You can check your batteries voltages with a multimeter too (get a multimeter and learn how to use it lots of vids on youtube.) If you are planning on using sub ohms in the future please educate yourself about battery safety and ohms law. Understanding max amp continuous draws becomes critical with sub ohm vaping. Here is a great reference to battery basics from baditude.

You probably won't find a battery/ charger combo worth buying. You can find them at the same store but they will be purchased separately. Batteries are the one place in vaping that we can't be cheap. Both batteries listed above are great options, and rtd is a reputable vendor. I have several different brands of batteries and the AW imr batts work great. Here is the charger I use

Sysmax i4 3.7V Intellicharge Battery Charger
