They are pretty long on the market. And still unchanged. So to stay 5/6/7 years with a product means it is pretty damn good. And it is. The maker is one of the oldest producer and was always a MTL fan. Had my first flashy 5 years ago 
Very big community in Germany and they love it. A hype would not stay that long. And with the pins now pretty easy to handle. Check some reviews on YT maybe.

Awesome tanks, I haven't used mine in ages though. The VS would probably be excellent with salts, I might just have to dig it back out again for a run.
If you decide to get one, you will need some mesh to roll up for the feeder tubes coming from the tank to the deck. Mesh works the best, doesn't need to be torched or anything, just rolled up into a short relatively tight straw depending on juice viscosity.

Because the atty is so old but still being used, sold and even cloned was what made me think it must be pretty solid and still
And that review by Klaus is almost only I could find in english. Btw I'm a subscriber, he has many very good reviews online.
Well I think I will give it a go then and get a clone for a test. And more I look at the thing the better it looks

Tanks have become more "stream-lined" in engineering. Shorter and fatter, too. I remember the 18mm Protanks, but 22mm became a standard for a good while. RTAs are now moving to 24-25mm wide so they can hold a little more and not be so tall.

As far as I can tell, for MTL anyway, the only difference between an old RDA and a new one is the presence of a squonk pin. If you don’t need a squonk pin there basically is none.
I’ve actually got a bunch of old RDAs I’d really like to use again if I could find squonk pins for them. The magma and derringer particularly come to mind. I understand the magma is particularly difficult to get to squonk, but supposedly the derringer is possible.
I ordered a “kit” of which I will likely need only one part, from the Fat daddy vapes SHOP they have an unusually unpleasant GUI on their site. The “shop” section, to which I posted a link can’t even be reached unless you access it from the pull down menu, and the shop are itself is just one giganticly long page you have to scroll through forever.
Still though they claim to be able to do it, all be it for practically the price of a cloned RDA. We’ll see if it works or not.

bombastinator, we were talking of RTA's so differences are not in squonk pin, but Flash E- Vapor indeed has a BF RDA out recently and it has same appearence, not just as long as their RTA:s
I was wondering why it looked so tall. Ive got a really narrow single coil RDA that looks just like it but shorter. Or pieces of it anyway. The deck might have self destructed some years ago. It’s quite old and was super cheap. The top is made of aluminium. Figured it to be a photo artifact.
Looking at the pics that’s not a regular RTA though. No juice feed. What it looks like from here is a squonk top RDA. Do you have to push something to get it to juice?
I actually kind of like squonk tops. They vape like an RDA but have squonk convenience without the squonk mod size. Only problem is they’re ridiculously tall. The one I’ve got is a clone of another clone. A counterfeit EHpro. It works pretty well though.
I have two Magma squonkers. Also 6 Origen Little 16s. For when Big Brother tries to seize everything and I have to retreat into the bunker.

These magma squonkers interest me. Did they come that way or did you mod them?
Modded them. They are too old for the latest craze of squonking.
I can't really say how they compare to any others as far as being a squonker. I have not squonked in a while.

I liked em too. I read somewhere that they were quite complicated to mod for squonking. It’s possible you were the one who wrote the description. The kit on offer may be useless for the magma I’ve got, but if it works on the derringer I’ll still be OK with that. The magma was a superior RDL RDA. The derringer was merely a pretty good DL RDA. Maybe it’s RDL too by today’s standards. It’s so cute and tiny though. I enjoy putting church warden tips on em. Makes what little there is of the atty basically disappear. Thing really didn’t hold much though, so a squonker is a good job for it.
One of the most robust, problem free atties you'll ever find. I've used the FeV for years. Can mtl and restricted lung hit.

Finally got my FEV VS clone yesterday.
Don't know who the manufacturer is, I suspect Shenray or Ulton because of the big plastic "bolt"- style package.
First impression is that it is a very, very good vape. Super smooth and quiet draw, also tight enough
Wicking was bit tricky but I should learn it.

I love my FeV v4.5 super throaty rta which is what I look for. The flavor is good there are a few other rtas that beat it in terms of flavor but nothing comes close in terms of throat hit for me. I was a bit skeptical but can honestly say I would buy a second. The size bothered me at first but the vape quality is so damn good I dont even think of it anymore
I own a lot of FEVs, and for me nothing comes close in terms of simplicity and reliability.
The build deck is huge and refilling is a breeze. And I like having access to the build deck without touching the tank.
And no FEV ever leaked. Really, you cannot do wrong too much here. Very good choice for beginners.

I love these, have for years. ITs big , clunky and not very high tech, but damn if it just doesnt work great. Flavor is outstanding and you can refill it with a gallon bucket if needed. Tough as nails, only thing Ive ever heard going wrong with them and I honestly cant see HOW they managed it, is that the older ones, (V3 and above) the little guide pin on base and tank got broken? Have a few that are from 2013 and used daily.
I prefer the mesh, but the DLC straws are OK.
Ive never tried any of the newer versions, I love the FEV V3 with chop kits
I started using from the V3 when they first came out, I really like it's simplicity, flavor and has never ever leaked!!!. I really like that it's only 23mm and holds 5ml. I use it with mesh but have tried the steel wicks and they flooded the base.I have tried other tanks but always go back the FEV. Just the best tank around for me,
I'm hoping it gets upgraded soon. Been really hoping for top fill & a velocity type deck.

I have to confess that I haven't really used my vS at all after trying it for few weeks. I could not get good flavor out of it, and had some trouble making those wick- thingies out of mesh. Maybe I should give it another go.
try the DLC plugs . If you get the mesh perfect it can wick better but the DLC plugs are more consistent and easier to use
