Flat top/botton top batteries

Is there any "benefit" of a button top battery versus a flat top?

Functionally they are the same, Physically some mods will not accept one or another. I've got a mech that works better with a button top battery and wife has a VTR that doesn't like button top batteries. Luckily we own both types so not an issue.

My SMPL mech mod and KFL combo only works with flat tops.

A telescoping mod would accept either.

It has to do (on mechs) with the length of your 510 connection and how far the positive pin protrudes from that.

Although, some mods have adjustable connections, which presumably would also accept either.
