Just picked up an authentic Petri. Running it on my limitless mech. Wondering what build would produce good flavor? Right now I'm running Nichrome 22/6 wraps/3mm it's okay but not the flavor I was expecting. Thanks for any input.
Just picked up one of these myself. The first thing I did was a 7 wrap 3mm id.24g kanthal dual. I did this because it was the same build I had in my royal hunter and what a difference in flavor. I just wanted to see the difference. I also had the same build in my Rhyno but the Petri was more flavorful.
I'm going to try a twisted 26g with ribbon next, I will get back when done.
Did you get the 1.5 version?

It's most likely the v1.5 if the OP got it brand new.

You can get great flavor off a Petri. I've had mine (v1) for a while now and I've put a bunch of different kinds of builds in it. 6 wrap 22g N80 is more of a cloud build IMO, but that's just my opinion. I'm running 28/38g 3 core aliens in mine with the cloud cap, 5 wraps on a 3mm. Absolutely amazing flavor and vapor production.
Maybe add a couple wraps and make her an 8 wrap 22g N80 build just to make it a little safer to vape on. It's what I'm running in my Vector right now and clocks in at .17Ω. I'm getting pretty good flavor with that. If you're into Claptons and such, I'd recommend a 26g/36g N80 fused Clapton. Easy build to make and pretty good on flavor. Try a 2.5mm bit size so you cover more surface area.

It's the v1.5 I threw that build in it because that's my go to on my Kennedy 24 on my copper limitless. I know two totally different rdas but it's seemed to work on all my mechs. Tried claptons a few times never really got what I was looking for on my mechs. Haven't attempted the alien wire yet. Might attempt that today. Thanks for the advice everyone. Keep it coming.

They're actually not so different. If you get the cloud cap for the Petri you have the same airflow. If you try making a 3 core alien, I don't know if 26g will fit, I only have a v1 Petri & I have to make 28g aliens for her. Not complaining though, she's still one of my favorite atties.
