Petri rta tank by dotmod - Postless

Couldn't find a dedicated thread in this forum to the little beauty, so:
"The Petri RTA Tank by Dotmod takes an innovative step forward in rebuildable platform, implementing a postless designs coupled with elevated internal airholes, coupled with an efficient chassis that integrates a 2mL juice capacity with convenient threaded top-fill and adjustable airflow. The Petri RTA measures 22mm in diameter, compact in size for high levels of flavor creations. The build deck of the Petri RTA implements a quad terminal postless build deck, featuring 2mm diameter terminals set into the deck and tightened via side-tension applied hex screws. The entire deck is made of 24K Gold Plating with PEEK insulated positive blocks, providing strong conductivity and heat resistant foundation in order to run high powered configurations. Due to the lack of posts, the design also frees up build space while also allowing for a 2mL tank capacity. Airflow enters the chamber through two elevated internal airholes, creatively design to simultaneously prevent leaking while providing ample airflow delivery. It is fed by two external intakes on each side of the tank, easily adjusted depending on need and preference. The Dotmod Petri RTA also features a top-fill system to expose the filling area, making refills simple and effective. With precision machining and creative designs from a highly regarded company, the Dotmod Petri RTA Tank is a definite must-buy collection for build enthusiasts." (quoted directly from elementvape.com)

Anyone have one?? I want it but don't want to shell out the $$ until I hear more from people I trust... The 2mL capacity is a turn off for me but I can live with it. I just don't want to open the package and run into the issues I had with the Sigelei Moonshot. The design is similar but this looks a bit easier to build on (secured build deck and airflow hole not elevated above the post holes as was the case on the moonshot:nah:). I feel the build quality will be really good. Look forward to more inputjohhnny 5.jpg !!!

The weird thing about this is in this video, it's a 24mm rta. It's stamped on the bottom of the base at the 4min mark or so.

That is odd, as I heard from a buddy that the 24mm version was coming soon. After some quick googles, the size listed on different sites varies between 24 and 22 mmo_O Maybe a typo? I assume all of these will be 24mm.

That reviewer is funny. I like his excitement:) but he keeps saying the thing is made of 24k:facepalm: gold. I'd hate to see the price of that

That is the most beautiful atomizer I've ever seen. Especially the deck.
Not sure if it would look better with a chrome exterior.
The post holes look adequate even for my standards.
The beveled airflow is a big plus for me.

I've been wondering how you tighten the screws though. Without having to use one of those L-shaped allen keys.

Good post LilWhiteClouder. =)

I raise my hand for a Black Chrome version!! Chrome would look great too (ahem... coughDotmodcough). Def looks like allen head grub screws. I like, though, that they are underneath the sides of the coils. This way, the screwdriver sitting through the coil won't interfere with the allen wrench when tightening (in theory of course). @whiteowl84 you got me thinking and a good solution could be a screwdriver with allen(hex) heads... They could also be used to wrap hexagonal coils:) Harbor freight here I come...

How do you get a screwdriver down in there though?
I have some Wiah allen drivers with precision handles but I don't see how I could put it on the screws.
The screws are below the deck and the deck is flush with the threads. I think I'm missing something.
Ah I see what your saying. To me it looks like the screws are sitting just above the threaded sides of the base there. Otherwise, unless they provide some specially shaped allen key, it would be a major PITA and turnoff.

They cloned the box too? That's kinda stupid but if it's actually gold plated, I'd probably get one since no one can find a real 24mm.

Here's a 24mm clone:

Dotmod Petri Style 24mm Black SS RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer

Do they ship from US or China? For $20, I'd roll the dice. EDIT: China

If you look at the black one, they painted the 510 threads. Wth? How is that going to work.

I want a gold one because it's brass and would have less resistance but I'm not sure if I trust that plating. So stainless?

I'll ask on VU about it.
