Your best bet is to cruise the e liquid forums here. We can recommend hundreds of juices to try. You'll find descriptions in the other forums.
I'd recommend some sample starter packs as well. Also, I don't know if there is a vape store near you but some will let you try flavors for free (or for a nominal fee). This will let you know the types of juices you might enjoy (even if they are using their own proprietary juices) which can help, but if you don't have the opportunity to do that, try some sample packs for different vendors until you find some juices you like and can land on for vaping. You can specify a subset with some vendors, or even pick out juices one by one.

If interested in it you could begin making your own liquid, it's an easy and quick thing. You get better tasting liquid and pay a lot less.
I think DIY is a great idea, but I started out on premade liquids and doing that for a while gave me a sense of what I would like in an e-liquid, so it made DIY easier. There are some fairly unavoidable start up costs with DIY and even at "sample" size those flavors add up. I agree 100% with DIY and it is one of my favorite things about vaping, but I don't believe I would have done fantastically well with DIY almost right out of the gate.
If you do become interested in DIY, this forum will get you going however. Lots of helpful pinned links and experienced folks who love to help out. DIY E-Liquid

I second @stols001 suggestions. Determine if any vape shops within a few hour drive time and make a day trip to find some flavors. Will be worth it in the long run. Pay a minimal fee up front and try different flavors from different juice makers. Tell the salesperson you're interested in fruit flavors excluding those with strawberry. This is the best way to find new flavors and not spend a fortune buying flavors from an advertised description that you may/may not like.
Taste is extremely individual and subjective. You can certainly get ideas by asking around, but what others like does not mean you will like it. It's like asking someone what food they like. Some people love seafood or suschi, but others can't stand it.

If you are looking for commercial but are still looking for a good buy You Got E-juice and Broke Dick are a couple of places that you can go to and get 20 something 120ml bottles and Fuggin is another that has really good deals all the time. I haven't bought commercial juice in over 18 months because I am a DIY Guy and make my own and as they have said there are upfront costs but over the long haul it more than pays for itself, I have cut my vape habit cost by 2/3rds. Another company that you may check out is CookBook Vapors they have excellent flavors and their prices are fairly reasonable their bottles are 40ml we used to carry their line in our store. Good luck and if you decide to try your hand at DIY direct message me and I will hook you up with some really good sources, I have dealt with these companies for over 5 years when I was co-owner of a B&M storefront now I use them for my personal juices.
