Flavor cross reference anywhere?

Flavors are such a subjective subject. Reading the recent Boba's clone thread got me to thinking about the Old Captain flavor and whether it might be similar to Captain Black.

Any way, is there a cross reference anywhere comparing flavors by name of one company to another similar to my example above?

I realize that it might be a subjective comparison, much like recipes and their ingredients are, but I think it would be a big help to some of us new mixers. It'd definitely be helpful for us trying to build a base set of flavors and trying to avoid similar flavors from different sources.
