The flavor thing DOES happen. Don't freak out, it happened to me yesterday and this morning everything was fine again. Stay with it, keep vaping. It's fairly common, especially at first.

The yellow spots were there and then disappeared? Nic stains from the cigs? If they appeared out of nowhere after starting to vape, well, that's a new one I haven't heard of. Reminds me of a story my doc told me about a guy who came in and complained that his um... member, had turned orange! Doc did a full workup on his history. No girlfriend, no stress at work (laid off and getting full comp), no money problems, didn't have any unusual activities, no recent changes to his diet. In fact the guy didn't seem to do much of ANYthing. Finally, the doc asked him what DID he do with his days. Guy replied, nothing really, just sat around the house eating cheetos and watching pron.

Had something very similar happen around my second week of vaping. My guess is that if you vape a ton of the same flavor profiles you'll end up habituating to the taste/odor. In my case I vaped Boba's no stop for days until I no longer could taste it at all! Switched to a citrus for a whole day and things got back to normal. Also keep in mind that your taste buds are likely in pretty bad shape from analogs - it'll take anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months for them to come back.

In my experience, recently of course, I never had a total loss of taste. I could taste/smell the vapor from the get go. Though sometimes i lose it, i can enjoy the flavor mostly. i'm in the middle of vaper's tongue right now. i switched tanks and using my less preferred juices while my tongue is in limbo. I've tried soda water before and it seemed to reset (i don't have now so I have a reason for drinking beer i guess).

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who's had those moments of nothingness! Especially first thing in the morning. I've tried everything to get those flavors rolling, but still NOTHING! I've always enjoyed my cup of coffee and a cig in the mornings, and now I don't look forward to that because the combo isn't there. :-(

I am happy to say, that I still haven't resorted back to the cigs though. It's been a year for me next week analog free and can't imagine letting that morning issue take control. LOL

Thank you, empot. I too, am totally amazed at how 'easy' it has been. I was a 2 pack a day smoker for nearly 30 years (oh oh just gave away my age, eh?). Always said that there's nothing that would make me quit, I loved smoking. Well eat my words a year later! I wished I would have known about e-cigs long ago.

For me, it's not about the cig itself, rather, the habit of having something to fill that 'void' of nothingness while being idle.
