I don't have enough experience to say. That's why I mentioned the juice smelled the same (like a fog machine)
is the juice watery or thick?
Watery, with light brown color. Very greasy to the touch.

I'm a pack a day smoker, who is trying to switch to vaping. Lot's of smokers are doing it at work, and think highly of it.
I bought a cartomizer online that looks like a cigarette (white with yellow tip, auto battery), and the device seems to be fine. Everything looks and works as expected.
Here is the problem.
I bought 3 e-liquids all with 16/mg nicotine, that are different tobacco flavors. All 3 are famous Canadian brands. The problem is.... they ALL taste like a FOG MACHINE !
To be clear, I hate the smell of fog machines. Always have. It's not just the vapor either, The smell of the fluid is pretty much fog machine with slight hint of it's intended aroma/flavor.
Is there a solution to this ? My initial goal was to get something that tasted like tobacco, now my goal seems to be something that doesn't taste like a fog machine.

Best solution is to throw yourin the wastebin. Go buy a good mechanical mod. I recommend HCigar Nemesis Clone at 101 vape. They have for 31 dollars. Then buy a Kayfun Lite plus clone. Build a 2 ohm build and vape away.
that may have been fine for you...doesn't mean it's fine for everyone
some people prefer the cig-a-likes
but def wouldn't recommend an unprotected mech mod as someone's very first intro into vaping
please keep in mind that everyone's vape taste is different and their willingness to dive right into diy
i've been at this over a year and still don't do rba or rda's....vaping is all about one's personal preferences....please try to keep that in mind when advising people
excuse me, not trying to argue....my point isn't so much safety, yes 2ohm is safe...my point is in diy...some people aren't comfortable rebuilding and for someone just starting out in vaping ie the title (started vaping today)Just a recommendation ......... 2 ohms is perfectly safe
Well, after leaving it for half a day, and the fact that the "fog machine" taste is now in every cig I try to smoke... I went back to the original cartomizer I had loaded.
Isn't as strong as before, so i guess it's an improvement.
As for the DIY chatter, that's not what I am going to get into right now. I would have to find a method/solution I like first before I'd throw more money at it.
But, it would be so ugly!!!! Why not just use an eSmart clearo? They make them in both 510 and 808 versions. Their diameter is just barely bigger than the cig-alike batteries, not noticeably. Or, just buy eSmart batteries. They're still slim batteries, almost cig-alike.my mother-in-law has the same view point....she won't use anything other than the blu I bought her because to her anything else just looks too much like she's doing something illegal
but you could buy a small tank to use with the cig-a-like and have all the joy of vaping juices with the convenience of the cig-a-like battery and still a somewhat small profile...example from fasttech
