Hello pokemon,

I was a cigar smoker for 45 yrs. Inhaling.
I've been vaping for over a year now. Never feeling 100%.
I vape different flavors during the day.
Nic level around 16 to 24. PG/VG varies.
Mostly add VG to Chinese liquids. Some times I don't. I'd say around 50/50.
Today, I found a thread here about someone being vulnerable to Vanilla and Cinnamon.
I've suspended the use of those, blueberry and cubana. And in a few hrs, I feel better.
Maybe I have COPD or weak lungs from smoking for so long, who knows?.
Thank you for your questions.

Well there's your evidence.

Have you been vaping plastic tanks for the last year?

Assuming that there is not a problem with your tanks disintegrating from the inside, and you have been doing this a while and not having problems with other liquids, and the pg/vg levels are the same, the next culprit would be the flavoring.

I know for me, I can't vape a liquid that is more than 50% vg without getting very heavy lungs. I try to stay at 60pg/40vg when I can because I like the vapor production that vg provides. I also have some reactions to vanilla based liquids, depending on the manufacturer. If a flavor makes you sick, don't use them. There are so many out there, I'm sure that you can still find variety without making yourself sick.

If you really think that you have COPD, or if the problem persists, please go to a doctor.

Good Luck.

Hello again Pokemom:

Thank you for your concern and dedication.

My huffing and puffing is not new. My wife notices it more now thought.
My lungs don't "hurt" as much since I suspended the dark liquids. I'm vaping menthol for now.
I was adding VG to commercial liquids. I stopped that too.

I ordered 100% VG from a very famous brand once, but never reordered.
I found it to have too much perfume. Maybe it was the VG.

The equipment is fine. The only change I've done is to reduce the voltage,
to like around 4.2V in the mods. It's supposed to reduce metal contents?.
Vaping is a "science" of hit-and-miss. Only the changes don't happen overnight sometimes.

I can live with less flavors, I only smoked two brands of cigars.
I was killing myself without any worries. Now, every malady is attributed to vaping.

I'll get a check-up for COPD. I didn't do too well in the 'net questions.

Thank You for your time and good wishes.

Well,
I was diagnosed with the big E.
My wife says the doc said mild, but I was too dumbfounded to corroborate.
Test were done at his office, Treadmill, X-rays, then the big blowing machine elsewhere.
Waiting for severity to be determined. But is there.
I can only find closed threads about emphysema in these forums.
I know it's irreversible, and that misery loves company.
But an open thread once in a while may be helpful to someone like me.
Something like e-cigs helped or at least slowed the progress of this condition.
Thank you for reading.
