Today I vaped one liquid only, about 18 hours so far. This is a premade I got back in August that the only way I could eventually get any flavor out of it was to cook it with my VV/VW to the point of darkening the liquid. By doing that, before I could get to the bottom of a tank it was no longer unvapeable, it was burnt. So today I turned the heat down, way down, and eventually started geeting some flavor from it a few hours in. Hours later it's still not great, but OK. Hmmmm, maybe I have burned out my flavor buds 6 months into vaping?

I'm pretty much up 24/7, seldom sleep, just a short nap now and then. So I vape round the clock. I'm thinking I must have taste burnout unless the liquid is strong enough to get through. Probably because I often vape "several" different liquids/flavors in a 24 hour period, sometimes 2 or 3 at the same time. And in between some days also checking DIY test batches in atty's, cartos or mini tanks along with those that I am vaping that day. My chosen vapes I run tanks, etc from full to empty. But since I have many of them going at once it may take a couple of days to empty some of them. So I really don't have a rotation system, I just fly by the seat of my pants and let the current whim rule. A bad habit picked up when I first started vaping as I already had enough gear to run as many premades as I wanted at the same time from day one. Me bad, like a kid in a candy store.

Would like to hear what those in the know do about rotating their liquids. I need to make a plan to follow, see if that confirms taste burnout. But hopefully not one that limits me to "just one" in a 24 hour period though. ;)

Thanks.

I Vape 6-7 flavors daily. When they are finished I'll use another 6-7 rinse and repeat, always have my 2 favs in there to. At 2-3 ml a day it well take me about 4-6 months to exhaust first 6 flavors before moving on o a new set.

I Vape Voodoo Cola to get rid of my Vapers tongue works great, also absynth works as well.

Currently I have 7 tanks (iclears and T2s) filled and ready to go for my 510 device, and 4 filled and ready for my 808 device. I might not get to all of them in one day, but they are ready and waiting, and out of the 11, I will mostly likely hit 8 of them in one day. Each have a different flavor in them, of course.

In addition, I have an RDA which I use in the evenings/when off from work, to drip several other liquids in a shorter period of time.

In an average work day, I will at least hit off some of the 8. On the of days or short work days, I'll hit off the 8 or 9, and drip another 2 or 3 other flavors.

On average :)

I usually have around 40 flavors on hand, and like to grab what I'm in the mood for. That pretty much makes dripping mandatory for me, which I prefer anyways. Some days I'll only vape 2-3 flavors, more often 4-6, and sometimes I'll change flavors much more. Compex or strong flavors tend to be able to be vaped longer before they start to lose flavor, simple or subtle flavors usually seem muted quicker.

We're wired to block out repeated stimuli, which is why we stop noticing a watch on our wrist after adjusting to it. Same with flavor, and the only way to deal with adjusting to a flavor is to switch it up.

Artemas Carto tank dedicated to RY4 (home)
EVOD dedicated to RY4 (out)
EVOD dedicated to coffee flavors (out)
iclear 16 dedicated to coffee flavors (home)
iclear 16 dedicated to ECBlend's Dragon's Crown or Dragon's Tear
iclear 30 dedicated to Boba's Bounty or Gorilla Juice
Phiniac carto tank dedicated to dessert flavors (currently HHV Blueberry Muffin)
Kanger Protank II dedicated to fruit vapes (Orange Cream, Peach, and Watermelon)
Nimbus Clone to drip and check juices from mail and throughout steeping

This system works well for me and I don't get cross-flavoring. Also seems to make the coil heads, wicks and cartos last longer.

i have yet to find something that i can vape all day. Not because I wouldn't like to, but because there's that little voice inside my head going "oi, there's that great flavor waiting for ya, wacha doing being stuck on this one??". Although I can totally relate to yours "to the point of darkening the liquid" and beyond where washing down a tank with a pressure hose is in order.

At the same time, I'm a routine junkie, so I like to have my morning vapes, deadline breathing down my neck vapes, relax in the evening with a glass of wine vapes... In between I pick a fairly neural flavor like EVO's whisper or Halo's prime15 to jump me from one intense flavor to the other. Calms down the tastebuds and great for cleaning the palette for transition. Otherwise, it's hard to give up one darn good flavor for the other.

Having said that I think there's totally nothing wrong with what you're doing Spydro :) Kudos :) Get more tanks!!

If you are vaping that often, you likely need some kind of palate cleanser between flavors. Try getting a cucumber/mint or lemon/citrus juice to use between other flavors; this will help.

Also, if you are vaping around the clock, what mg are you using? If you are using high mg, that may be why you aren't sleeping much. Many people get lower mg nicotine juice to use at night before bed.

I just have about 8-12 tanks going at a time and rotate them according to my mood:

4 pro tanks

2 vivi novas

7 T3's

2 Aurora BFT's

3-4 regular dripping attys

Some of them are being cleaned and not in use each day, but this is about what I have to work with.

I just keep certain juices in devices of a certain color and change them on a battery when the mood strikes me.

I say do whatever works best for you.

I need to invest in more tanks, but I like to rotate throughout the day between fruity, and when that starts to feel too sweet I change to tobacco and tea, and coffee types

I have things that are relaxing, but what I really need is to find a vape for the morning to help wake me up, maybe a strong tasting tobacco/coffee blend, if anyone knows of one fill me in

First of all, you need to do more than naps. You need to go through all three stages of sleep. If you're not, that's just not healthy over the long term. What nic level are you vaping?

I have six flavors always in rotation and have different nic levels (between 5 and12mg) for different times during the day. I'm gradually lowering the nic levels.

WOW, lots of great responses, lots of good info, ideas to consider, etc. Thank you all for them.
Sounds like I am not off the deep end by using so many different flavors in a day. Just following my whims, what I am in the mood for at the moment.

I have something like 2 dozen tanks (including those for the 808's), 6 atty's and various cartos in use (plus still unused backups). But usually only about a fourth to third of them might have liquid in them on a given day that may or may not get vaped. Depends on how many of my dozen battery devices are on line that day (I also have 808 and 510 pass thrus on my computer that always have a tank on them). I keep devices ready to vape stratigically located around the house at work/play areas, so I can vape what's there when I am if I didn't carry those along being used for the main ADV's that day. When I empty a tank I wash it, set it aside in the rotation and dry burn the atty's for flavor changes. And I replace/build new coils fairly often for the more than half of them in use that are rebuildable.

Living on a desert I drink a lot of water year round, my beverage of choice since moving to it 20 odd years ago. That's all I have consciously used to "flush" the palate between flavor changes. But the veggie/fruit smoothies that are part of my raw diet are part of the mix too. Will try using a cleansing vape or two as suggested.

Sleep. I have never been one to sleep much, not in my entire life. Was always an early riser that was very active all day long and evening, from even my preteens was always a night owl that remained active doing something into the wee hours of the night. I just didn't need 8 hours of sleep. I only vape 6mg/ml when I add nic to my DIY, often mix it with no nic. No longer is coffee a daily mainstay like it was in my working lifetime either when a pot a day was the bare minimum, and I am long retired. Add I rarely drink soda anymore, not for years. So nic/caffine has nothing to do with my "sleep pattern". An old body that doesn't like to lay in bed for very long does. Even so it is mainly attitude. I have better things to do than sleep, and I'm running out of time to do them.

I currently have 4 rba's and 1 hybrid genesis device. My favorite ADV of the month is always in my favorite rba, my second ADV is in my other favorite rba, then I have two cheap kyafun clone clones, that I keep my experimental flavors in. I generally take 2 or 3 tanks with me to work, so that I can change up on breaks. since I get about 2 1/2 hours of vape breaks per shift, it's nice to have a change, and since my tanks hold 4-5ml, I don't have to worry about refueling. When I am mixing a new flavor or a test batch of juice, I'll use an empty tank and re-wick it and dry burn the coil, rinse out the tank, so that I can get a true impression on the flavor.

All my rba's can basically be used in drip mode, so that when I put fresh wick in, I just saturate the wick and put the funnel top over the combustion chamber and take some good drip vapes. This allows me to test the flavor before assembling the tank and filling, and allows me to make sure it's wicking correctly and don't have to adjust the wick or coil build.

I currently have 4 recipes that I always have on hand, Captain Black Cinnful Danish, Apple Pie, Mary J's Dragon Cinnder, and Licorice. Testing out some Butter Rum , and have made a Cappuccino vape too. Since I love to experiment with different build styles, I use the opportunity to test out a new flavor when I change up my build.

Rba's and DIY juice just seem to compliment each other so well. I can mix up a new test batch, the do a new build, once mounted, tested and wicked, it's time to test vape the new juice. Rba's is what got me interested in DIY juice, because when vaping at 15 watts on a good build, you tend to go through juice at an incredible rate. So had to figure a way to bring down my juice cost and shorten my waiting time for a new juice delivery.

There are 2 more rba's that I have my eye on, the Fogger and the SQuape. My current rotation consists of the Russian, the Terminato-C, and 2 Rocket's, which I have modified to perform almost as well as the Russian.
