A couple of e-liquids I've had recently have a strange taste to them. They taste "powdery" and too strong in the flavor department, to the point of unpleasantness. The best way I can describe it, and Canadians probably relate to this, is imagine you're making instant Kool Aid. I'm sure everyone has done it at one point in their life: take the Kool Aid packet, empty it into a jug, put 1 cup sugar, 7 cups water, and stir. Imagine you did that, but instead of 7 cups of water, you only put 1 or 2. That's the kind of flavor I get from these two e-liquids, it tastes as if there's too much flavor and it's not mixed properly (it really tastes powdery and unpleasant).
Is this the effect of maltol? I don't know if the two e-liquids I've tried that do this have maltol in them, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
