Just be warnes that mowgli's juices taste like rear end. TOTALLY JK mowgli has helpes me a few times, I mix at 15 and am avid about it as much as they are passionate about 12.5 haha

LOL - You mix at 50/50 and higher VG needs higher flavor

That means they should taste about the same - diff ratio/% = same ... taste mmmmmm Scarlett Jo's ... :thumb:

So, those at about 70/30 like 12.5% flavoring for the most part, and many at 50/50 like 15% flavoring? And as pointed out the higher the VG ratio more flavoring is required to possibly get the same taste results as those mixes with less VG.

Taking the 70/30 ratio at 12.5% and the 50/50 ratio at 15% and finding the difference between the two flavoring ratios to be 2.5% and the different VG ratios at 20%, divide the 2.5 by 20 and get 0.125. With that, do you think it is safe to say that possibly for every 1% increase of VG from the 70/30 ratio that one should possibly increase the flavoring ratio by 0.125%?

What's weird to me is I use to mix 70/30 and used 15% but they tasted the same to me....oh well haha.

No, cause that math makes my head hurt andn I commit to NOTHING!! ;-)

You're probably right though...

I heard 15% was good. I have tried 10% to 25%. But found out yesterday it wasn't the juice.. It was the atomizer so I had to chuck that one. Had a weird taste to it. I'm new at this and since I don't have any mt baker vapor extreme ice in I have nothing to compare to see how close it is from memory. My stash of extreme ice from MBV should be here next week so I can do side by side comparisons.

I finally got around to mixing the Extreme Ice. I ended up mixing it at 15% because I usually like a lot of flavor. So results.

70/30 PG/VG with 23 MG nicotine and 15% flavor. Very nice flavor! A bunch of mint and a little less menthol than the standard menthol I have been using. The last time I ordered it from Mt. Baker I ordered 80/20 with 1 flavor shot and it was very nice but that juice had a bit more menthol and less mint than my DIY mix. The DIY tastes more like a starlight mint you get at a restaurant and the wintergreen/spearmint combo is much more pronounced here. Could be a bunch of different factors and perhaps the menthol will become more pronounced after steeping (made it about 45 minutes ago and shook the crap out of it lol).

Conclusion: The DIY mix is a slightly different taste with a bit more mint and bit less mediciney taste. Unfortunately it also seems to have less menthol which is OK though. I slightly prefer the DIY mix as it gives the juice more substance in my opinion if that makes sense. Next batch I may try 12.5% but the 15% was just easier for the ML I used. Hope this helps!

Speaking of the Extreme Ice. Has anyone tried making a fire and ice? I.E. Red hots and Extreme Ice? I really want to do this but not sure where to start...I'm thinking maybe 8% Red Hots and 7% Extreme Ice. I'm not about to have 30% flavor in my mix so 15 15 is out of the question. Maybe 10% Extreme 5% Red Hots, who knows. Out of 510 Atty's right now so testing a small amount is going to be hard.

Red hots is SUPER potent...I would start at 5% max (personally I would start with 1 or 2) for Red hots and 10 to 15 % of extreme. Now I'm curious about it....*heads to mix table*

I have to chime in on this thread I have been reading it for quite some time now and started DIYing myself now for 4 months.

1. Mixing for right away vaping is different then mixing large quantities of juice for vaping a extended period of time. If you mix at high percentage for a right away vape and then go back to it over time it will be unvapeable. The taste that you like after mixing high percentage should be the taste that you get when you mix at low percentages and let steep. My advice is once you find the taste you want fresh out the mix, make a batch of that for right now at say 10 ml. Then make a batch of 15 or 30 mil at 50% or 75% of the percentage you used and let steep until it taste like your right now vape batch tasted.

Example Right now batch...10mil 15% flavor makes you say yummy....the 30mil mixed at 8-10% will make you say yummy after some steeping time.

This will allow you to use less flavoring and allow you to maximize your bottle of concentrated flavor.

Great news everyone! Flavor west has new flavors! I just ordered jolly rancher and ruby red grapefruit (natural) so I'm pretty stoked but there is snickers and blue cotton candy and a bunch of others!

Update on previous flavors ordered:
Green apple is pretty much spot on in my traditional 50/50 mix at 15% (mowgli recommends 12.5% in a 70/30 pg/vg)
Red apple is good as well! One friend helping me test said his tasted like a bad apple after the initial vape but I think his set up needs attention.
Key lime is good as well but its light..going to try it at 17% and see if that strengthens it

What else did i test....strawberry! Its good as well, very true strawberry not a candy like.

Ill keep you all posted.

ALL my own mixes are 50/50 pg/vg at 12% nic. You can do whatever level nic you want though and it tastes the same

Til next time!

Strawberry's in my top 10

I like the Egg Nog - very good seasonal vape
I love the White Chocolate
Dutch Apple Pie is very good and getting better
Dragon Fruit is strangely delicious
Cinnamon Churro's ok but disappointing compared to their stellar Cinnamon Roll
Dulce De Leche is weird. I never tried the food. The vape is good sometimes and sometimes not so much.

Mowgli- surprised you don't care for the Dulce. It's in my daily rotation and love the taste. Can you give me a good description of the dragon fruit? I've never had any of the fruit and don't have a clue what the taste would be like.
