Anyone tried FW Double Apple> % to start with and any flavor that pairs well with it?

I just finished a batch. I mix 80% pg and 20% vg and 20mg nic. I started with a 15% mixture and was way to "light". I went to 20% and was better but still a little "light". Next step was 25% and that was pretty much where I wanted to be. I added my nic, heat steeped for a few hours and let it set for a couple of days. It is good but way strong. The nic seemed to enhance the flavor.

I have never purchased the pre-made from MBV but I would imagine a 20% mix to be like their standard, 22.5% to be like 2-3 additional flavor shots and 25% to be like 5 flavor shots. I like my flavors strong however I think I will bring the next batch back to 22.5%. I think it is sweet enough on its own but if you like really sweet then 1-2% sweetener would probably be ok.

Now if I could just get the Grape flavor to work out. I started at 10% and now at 30% there is still very little grape flavor.

EDIT: I read your flavor wrong. My mix is Dutch Apple not Double Apple however I do want to try the Double Apple. I'm going to leave my post "as is" since someone may be mixing Dutch Apple.

100% correct :thumb:

You're only completely wrong about them diluting. I like your testing and adding process.

12.5% in 18mg 70/30 - works in my 75+ MBV/FW flavors

Exact same % in my 10+ flavors that I have from both.

The only one I've tried that didn't work was Sweet Tarts, but I couldn't find any % that worked in :2c:

Different PG/VG ratios require different % of flavoring.
It would help if folks include their mixing ratios in their posts.

BTW -

James informed us in the suppliers' thread that MBV doesn't use FW for butter/cream flavors anymore.
They switched their supplier for those flavors in June or July.

I got my post count up to 15 just so I could chime in on this thread. Signed up a while ago and basically just been a lurker...anyway I use 70/30 as well and noticed that right around 13-14% is perfect for cinnamon roll. My question to you is without listing all the flavors you use would you say the vast majority of the 75 you have done 12.5% on are fruit/dessert flavors? I know that basically covers most of FW's flavors but I'm just basically wondering if bakery/dessert flavors should be a slightly higher or less percentage than their fruits etc. Obviously each flavor might be a bit different.

Also has anyone had experience with the Extreme Ice? I ordered it as a flavor from MBV a while back and enjoyed it and am going to order it direct from FW. I was thinking 5-10% might be ideal as I use menthol from Wizard Labs right now around 8%. I add some ecto cooler that i got as a free sample from MBV to the menthol every once in a while and they go well as long as you don't use to much ecto. I want to use the extreme as a base to combine with fruit flavors to create something like Thug juice or even a Fire and Ice with the red hots. I was thinking around 7% extreme for those and maybe 5-7 for the secondary flavor. Thoughts?

Thanks so much guys.

Majority are fruit/dessert but also Cinn Roll & Yellow Cake. The CR did taste weak at 12.5% for up to a month.
It's a few months now and is plenty strong IMO. It is very vapeable before being fully steeped and might be very good within a week at a higher % but might get overpowering in time. Let us know how it goes over time :)

Received a new flavor from Flavor West and it is actually a new flavor to their site (I made a list a couple months ago so I could "dream" and this flavor was not on the list and I would have put it on there)......SKITTLES!! 15% in a 50/50 mix at 12mg nic and I can taste the rainbow! Good right after you mix too! Thought I would share. I just ordered the milk and dutch chocolate, honeydew melon, and coffee. Should have them this week and have some updates then.

I have a test batch of Dutch Chocolate steeping right now. I had no idea where to start so I'm trying 15%. I'm anxious to hear your results with these.

Any luck with extreme ice? I have not been able to get it to taste like MbV extreme ice.

I literally just got my order in today. I will let you know as soon as I try it. What percentages have you attempted?

I heard 15% was good. I have tried 10% to 25%. But found out yesterday it wasn't the juice.. It was the atomizer so I had to chuck that one. Had a weird taste to it. I'm new at this and since I don't have any mt baker vapor extreme ice in I have nothing to compare to see how close it is from memory. My stash of extreme ice from MBV should be here next week so I can do side by side comparisons.

Seeing as how it's not a traditional menthol made from crystal like my wizard labs solution I feel like 15% might be right around the mark. I like a lot of flavor as well so I think I'll attempt this percentage and share my results ASAP instead of using 8-10% like I do on my Wizard Labs menthol.

I mix extreme at 15%. Not sure what MBV's tastes like but its super good at 15 IMO

I have mixed my double dutch chocolatr and milk chocolate both at 15%, 50/50 and 12mg nic. The chocolates remind me of hot chocolate and taste very similar in my opinion. The honey dew (same mix) is very tasty. Have honeydew and coffe at home mixed and waiting but figured I'd share
