Hey ECF,

I'm still fairly new to vaping and still have much to learn. I've probably asked a million questions, and I'm sorry they keep coming. Hopefully nobody is getting annoyed yet.

So without furtherado... Here's another one!

Do 510 cartomizers get the least amount of flavor from vaping? I'm curious because I have an eVic, attached with a Pyrex tank and a Boge 510 LR cartomizer w/ two holes punched. I used my friends very simple vape attached with his clearomizer and it got MUCH more flavor. Is there a reason for this, or am I doing something wrong? Or, is it simply because cartomizers don't get as much flavor, then for example, a clearomizer?

Any input, experiences, or even guesses would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys,
Mark

PS. Keep in mind we're both using the same flavor, VG percentage, and nicotine level.

Flavor is a very subjective issue... There is absolutely no agreement on the subject, with the one exception of a good dripping atomizer--but dripping is a hassle and I have no patience for that. But if you want the purest taste--get a dripping atty.

I have tested many different heads and they all impart their own "additional" taste; cartos (with or without a tank) taste like polyfill, clearomizers taste a bit plasticky, but it's really a matter of personal preference. Try different kinds and pick the one that tastes best for you!

That said, did you use the same juice and the same wattage? Heat affects flavor considerably. I prefer my tobacco and coffee flavors on much higher wattages than my fruit, for example. The same tobacco juice that is great at 7 watts may taste like feet on 4.5 watts, no matter what head I use.

1) I don't really have much patience, so a dripping tip seems out of the question. I may look into it, but likely not.

2) I always use the same wattage on every flavor I have. Maybe it's time to mess around with the MVR software and see what comes out of it. I mean after all, that is what the eVic is for.

Thank you for the tips and advice.

Oh, are you kidding???? You have an eVic and you're not taking advantage of all those wonderful features it offers????

Go for it! You have to find the sweet spot for your juices! And with variable power it's so easy!!!! Just dial the watts you want and taste your juice--adjust up or down till you hit the setting that works best for the juice you're sampling! Write it down--and you're all set. No matter what head you use from now on, just tell you eVic that you want to vape at 6 watts and it will check the resistance of your atty and do the math for you!!!

Happy vaping!
