This seems like the perfect place to get help with my quest for a new fruit/tobacco ADV. For the past 1+ year I've been happily vaping Outlaw Apple from V4L -- I'm not positive if this is a tobacco blend but I'm fairly sure it is. Of course that line was discontinued and I've spent the last few months trying a lot of new stuff with very little success. Pure fruit flavors are much too sweet/perfumey and pure tobaccos are much too bold for my tastes.

I need something that's smooth and not too subtle or bold... maybe a little more apple/peach/etc than tobacco. If I had to guess I'd say I prefer more of a dry tobacco taste than a flavorful nutty type.

I'm currently looking at MOV Applewood and VR Kentucky Applewood as my next buys. Any thoughts on these and has anyone tried V4L Outlaw Apple for comparison?

Goodejuice Apple Cured and HHV Caramel Apple Tobacco are both pretty good.

I tried some AiV Bandersnatch today and while I wouldn't vape it alone much, my immediate thought while doing so was "this would be great mixed with tobacco". I haven't tried any of the banana-baccos yet. Perhaps I'll mix a little. The question is, which tobacco do I mix it with? I have a lot form HHV so Pirate's Booty would be my instinctive choice, but perhaps something else. I'll post back with results if it's even relevant. I don't even know if I would like banana with tobacco. This is the first banana vape I've tried. Any thoughts?

EDIT: Just mixed Bandersnatch with HHV Dragon's Fire. Seriously good vape.

I got my AiV samples a few days ago and Bandersnatch was fairly good, I could see how it might be even better in a tobacco blend. I do get some banana notes here and there but agree that its mostly butterscotch to me. I'm contemplating grabbing Pear Ship from the AiV C.Room, I hear its a pretty exceptional fruit/NET blend.

Ooh, ooh, I love a good banana tobacco. The Plume Room Candied Cavendish is my favorite, with HHV Vapin Chimp second and Goodejuice Congo Craze third. I have a sample of Quick Nic Proudest Monkey somewhere that I will try soon.

I'll also have to try your Bandersnatchdragonfire combination, that sounds fantastic.

Definately pick up some GJ4. That one was amazing from the mailbox for me and just got better.

Ahlusion's RY4 is Gold Rising. Haven't had it, but word is they go for the old school honey tobac flavor rather than the vanilla, caramel, tobac of GJ4. If you want a stronger tobac presence than Vurley has vanilla but not the caramel.

totally agree on the GJ4.

I have both of these, and while both are good, my preference is definitely the KY Applewood from VR, it's a little deeper, richer more complex. MOV's is lighter and crisp apple but is also pretty good. Also have VR cherrywood, and just started vaping it last night. Seems a little more tobacco in the profile on this one, not as sweet, but so far am digging it. Definitely a dry tobacco taste, as you stated.

I'm just starting to try NETs and I think I'll find something that'll really appeal to me soon, but so far the most tobacco smoke-like juice I have tried would probably be classified as a flavored tobacco or even a TINO by purist (though I'm certain it contains either Tobacco Absolute or Tobacco Extract).

It was some Desert Ship that I was getting from my local shop. I'm sure it was just Dekang or possibly Hangsen but it had the best smooth and tasty tobacco exhale I've ever experienced. I bought out the entire stock and they haven't replaced it...I think I was the only one buying it. So I bought Dekang and Hangsen online, and while the Hangsen had almost identical Top Note Flavors (the Dekang was similar but mixed with too much flavoring for my tastes), neither had that great smokey tobacco presence, so now I'm thinking the key must be super long steep time (the stuff I was buying in the local shop was several months old) with a low percentage of flavoring. I think I'm going to give DIY a shot eventually and try to accelerate steep times with an ultrasonic cleaner (a lot of posts here at ECF say it works great).

I've heard (read) about a "Desert Ship" flavor on the ECF before, but I can't remember who posted it or made it. If memory serves, and it usually doesn't, the post was in one of those 'Search for All Day Vape' type threads, and some guy said he'd been vaping Desert Ship for two years. Can't remember much else about it though......

Yeah! That's what it seemed like to me...an all-day-vape!

I love pipe and cigar flavors but those were always more of a special thing. Even when I first tried to quit smoking cigarettes several years ago and went exclusively pipe/cigar I could only manage one or two cigars or bowls a day.

I haven't smoked any tobacco in nine months now, so this vaping thing really works...but still looking for an all day thing, and that probably would be best accomplished with a lightly flavored tobacco juice I'm starting to think. Something that doesn't demand too much attention, if you know what I mean.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as well as a few others for ideas!

I was exchanging emails with Shawn@CravinVapes.com this morning. As a young, start-up enterprise they are interested in feedback on thier e-liquids. I informed Shawn that while some at ECF thought the juices at CravinVapes were a little 'light', I did not agree with that opinion. I actually like the simple. uncomplicated flavors they make. I also informed him that I've got to catch up with some household bills and that I'll be returning for Maple Spirit Tobacco, Organic Vanilla Pipe and Caramel Tobacco in March.
The pointis; Shawn is looking for some feedback on thier wares. If you have tried Cravin Vapes I'm quite sure they would love to hear your opinions. Shawn has mentioned as fellow vapers they try to stay away from'perfumy' tasting liquids. If anyone is interested in helping a start-up company 'fine-tune' thier e-liquids, here's a chance to do so. :2c:

TINO (Tobacco In Name Only) is actually supposed to describe liquids that are called tobacco or have tobacco in the description, but don't taste like tobacco at all, and make you question if they even contain a single tobacco ingredient.

It doesn't matter if it is extract, TA or other artificial tobacco flavoring... If it is called tobacco but don't taste like tobacco, then it could be referred to as a TINO. Mr.Mann coined the acronym, so he is probably the best one to define it ;)
