...yes but still, if certain flavors do contain it and others don't -- as is the case with flavourart and probably/presumably others -- that's well worth knowing, so one could just not order those if it wasn't crucial to them.

I agree. I believe the reason to quit smoking is to live healthier...should keep that in mind.

THis diacetyl issue is one I've looked into before. As has already been mentioned, the only incidents of health effects from diacetyl are people who have had massive exposure, industrial exposure like workers in microwave popcorn factories; not from the trace amounts like what's found in some e-liquids. Flavoring is a very tiny fraction of the volume of e-liquid. Every time you open a bag of popcorn you probably get more exposure than from vaping a flavor containing diacetyl heavily all day.

Nonetheless, I asked our liquid manufacturer about this, and was assured that they do not use diacetyl in their flavors. I am still waiting on an answer as to what they use instead in buttery flavors like butterscotch, but honestly I don't think I'll get a detailed answer to that. Trade secrets, you know.

So, just out of curiosity....

In a cart, you're getting:

1. Water
2. PG and/or VG
3. Nicotine (is there a chemical used to cut the pure stuff or is just diluted by water or glycerine)
4. Whatever chemicals/ingredients are used to make the flavorings

Is there anything else normally found in e-cig juice that doesn't fit in one of these 4 categories?

I guess what I'm asking is if you vape the unflavored carts, you're just getting water, pg/vg, and nicotine? No more, no less?

If they're using top-shelf nicotine, it should be nicotine(and associated metabolites/decomp/oxidation products), PG(as a base), with an exceedly small amount of impurities, if my reading serves me correctly. I guess the base could be VG for VG juices.

Alright...sticking with this thread sorry if it's a bit off topic.

The flavorings are sweet right... so that means they have to have some sort of sweetener in them. How many calories do you thing we're getting in our vapes?

Is this a stupid question? Just because we are inhaling instead of ingesting it's still going through our system. Right?
