I did read the post with the recipe for DIY e-liquid. But that started from scratch, I am not quite that far as of yet. So what I did was buy unflavored e-liquid and some flavor oils (not real oil I know) from Loranns. This is the recipe I saved:

2 drops water/vodka whatever you got
2-4 drops flavoring (add subtract for personal taste)
12 drops PG/VG
(optional 4 drops nic)

So what I need to know is now do I just use 12 drops of my unflavored juice and 2-4 drops of flavoring? Should I need to add the water/vodka if necessary? What is the best to start with I guess is what I am asking.

After a few mistakes..ugh! I finally figured out that I need to start with the unflavored juice first, then add the flavor. Then I add a few drops of glycerin if you are not using it or P.G. as your unflavored liquid. Then I add the nic. Mix shake or whatever and do a taste/vape test..you can always add more unflavored to dilute or a drop of flavor at a time while testing in between. If you think it looks too thick after you add the nic that's when to add water, vodka or whatever.
Remember to add one drop at a time and read the label before you add. I almost ruined Hubby's marlboro by adding menthol..I thought it was the nic!
Forgot to say Welcome!!

my beginner opinion, i'd say start with the flavoring and just pg or vg. don't include your nic fluid until you are comfortable with the flavor mix that you have. that way...you've got your flavor down, and then from there work in your nic juice. that way you don't waste any of that precious juice :)

also make small batches, like 1ml batches. no wasting large amounts of supplies on a flavor you hate!

ok that makes sense Flitz i will make the flavor part first. My only question is if i order vg unflavored nic juice can i still add vg to it with my Lorann>

I guess I should have mentioned the unflavored juice was unflavored nic juice. Very sorry. So I do the 12 drops of unflavored nic juice, then add 2 drops of Lorann 'oil', taste, add more 'oil' should the taste not be what I want, then if it's too thick, add drops of vodka until it gets to the consistancy I want?

if i understand correctly, yes you can add VG or PG together if you choose, flavored or unflavored.

most nic juice is PG based, and when i mix mine, i've been using VG to lower the nic.

if my suggestion wasn't clear, just mix your plain VG and lorann to get your flavor first, then i would say to get the handy excel sheet (from Jaxx in the DIY liquid forum subsection) to adjust in your nic juice to the level you want when you make your next mix.
