On my 5 day of vaping I am getting good VP and a nice TH, but I only get a hint of flavor every so often. I am vaping Cola 18mg cool carts, Wow 555 24mg from V4L and I just ordered some juice from BWB. Is it the carts I am using or is it my taste buds? Will I start to get more flavor the longer I go without analogs?

Some juices taste better using standard atomizers, some taste great in cartomizers. It's one of those things I cannot explain.

One thing I do know, is that using pure VG juices in cartomizers generally leaves me unsatisfied, unless I let the freshly filled cartomizer sit overnight before vaping.

Lastly, your tastebuds are going through HELL right now, and as time goes on, your taste buds will return to normal, and even change.

Also, COOL carts and WOW carts are 2 different beasts. If you were to vape the 555 COOL carts, your experience will be much different than the 555 WOW carts. I find that the COOL carts to be a much mellower flavor, while the WOW carts are much heavier.

Congrats on the 5 days! Many people go through a poor, bad or no taste period. I remember going through this, there are quite a few posts regarding this very topic. Here are some general suggestions for those going through the tastebud change:
1) drink lots of water, vaping can be a bit dehydrating
2) vape a stronger flavors such as menthol, coffee or cinnamon during this time
3) chew gum with xylitol, helps with saliva production and cotton mouth
The good news is that usually the tastebud issue is relatively short lived and you'll happily tasting your vapes much better when your new order comes in from BwB.. Btw, what did you order from my favorite juice supplier?

After over a month of vaping my taste buds are still muted/numbed. DH and I generally vape the same flavors. I use eGo with cartos, and drip a box mod. My sense of smell has always been very good even when smoking 2-3 packs American Spirit Organics a day. I'm noticing only a very small increase in smelling. When I vape I don't smell the vapor but when in the car with DH vaping, using his 801 with atty/carts, the smell is heavenly no matter what juice we are using. I'm wondering if it is the difference in PVs to some extent. When I vape his 801 I do smell the vapor a little better than my PVs but not a whole lot. (I don't want to switch to the 801 as the battery life is so short although the carts are huge and are a great vape when the carts have the tiny straw mod. Today I'm ordering him two more chargers as one charger isn't keeping up with his vaping style. He likes the auto battery and the hard flat tip so he can hold it in his teeth.)

We mostly vape flavors like Freedomsmokers RY4 and Wyatt Earp and other brands that are similar. We are also mixing FSUSA WE and RY4 with their American Spirit half and half. Nothing too heavy.

Will my taste buds ever recover?

Something else to be aware of is you are likely to hit a period where EVERYTHING tastes bad. For me it hit around week 6. Nothing tasted good no matter what I did - everything was just nasty. Cleaned atty's, new atty's, new cartos, every juice I had, etc. Seems many people go through this. From what I had found most folks either suffer through it or find a real strong juice that kind of blasts the taste buds like Cinabomb. Other suggestions were to take several sniffs of coffee grounds - this helped me.
