There's a flavor at my local shop called orange jello which tasted fantastic the first time I bought it. I had it in a pro tank 2 and 3 and the flavor was phenomenal. I've tried purchasing the flavor a few times after and it's just not giving me that sense of sweetness it used to. More of a subdued or dull taste. I know it can't be the juice because it always looks the same and is mixed the same to certain perfection once they have it available cause it's already steeped. But what would cause that to happen to the taste? It always tastes just fine out of the throw away tanks they use at the local shop. Why would it taste awry in a new Iclear 30 or mini protank 2. I've tried priming it and putting new coils and even cleaning new unused tanks out. I'm at my wits end about this. Also it seems to taste really burnt out of new tanks even after priming it. Like it kills the flavor. It's the only juice i've had that taste burnt after priming.

Don't know about your particular juice, but there's one I like that only likes a particular power range. Too hot and it tastes burnt, too cool and it's too sweet.

What resistance coils are they using at the shop, and what are you using? The type of battery/voltage could also make a difference. If it's a thick juice you may have to take a flavor wick out of the Protank to get enough liquid to the coil.

I don't know what they're using but I have a 2.6 on protank mini and 2.1 on Iclear 30. I use a vamo v4 and a spinner 1300 mah. So far I keep my voltage on 3.8 and it's a diluted taste on both. It works just fine on 3.8 when I use their tanks. But on mine it's either diluted. Dull. Or burnt lol. Neither of which is good but i'll have to go about asking them what it is when I pop in there next. And i've also gone about taking a flavor wick out or two. Same taste. I blow clouds out just fine. It's just the taste that's bad.

I used to get nothing but burnt tastes from my Mini Protank. I moved on to carto tanks. Hubby uses the Mini Protanks and while they used to be his favorites tanks, something's gone wrong with Kanger coils. I see him using his iClear 30b and 16b most often now. He also prefers his carto tank. Which reminds me.... I need to get him more of those. If I can't save his coils after he vapes Swagger in his tanks, I may as well switch him over to carto tanks. I can get the cartos cheaper then the coils.

I've been there... It seems to me they use higher quality juice in the testers they have set out for customers, but the bottles you actually purchase are knock offs.

I tested all sorts of juices from one of my local b & m stores and some were great, so I bought some... Get it home and yuck... Nothing like what I tasted at the store. So I ask an employee there when her boss was gone one day and she said they sell so much of it that they substitute a cheaper version a lot of the time. It looks the same but tastes yucky.

That's when I went online and found mount baker vapor and bought higher quality and tastier juice. Now I make my own.

Unfortunately eliquid taste different with different atomizers and vaporizers plus on top of that, our taste buds change all the time. Not easy to find a good flavor and stick with it. My best advice is to have at least a few different liquids and change it all the time so as to not get accustomed to it too much.

On the muted taste I would try turning up the voltage a little bit at a time to see if it makes a difference. The burnt taste could be too much voltage or not enough juice feeding the coil.

After trying several different combinations of different brands, single vs. dual coil, top vs. bottom coil, and cartomizers, I went back to the Protanks but with cotton wicks. While some of the others were great (cartomizers), they just didn't like the juices I use most often, too thick. The cotton makes a huge difference in the Protanks for flavor and vapor. I really don't like having to re-wick a couple of times a week, but until I find a different solutions I'm not willing to give up the flavor I've found.
