Hey guys,

Any absolute must-have recommendations? The only tobaccos I've tried are TFA's Black Honey tobacco and RY4 Double. I like BHT, but RY4 I can live without.

For non-tobaccos, I tend to prefer nutty, creams and bakery vapes. I'm not into straight up fruits at all.

Here's what my local vendor has in stock:

7 Leaves
Black Fire
Cam Blend
Cigar Passion
Cowboy Blend
Cuban Supreme
Dark Vapure
Desert Ship
Dusk
Glory
Mellow Sunset
Oak Wood
Perique Black
Royal
Shade
Soho
Storm
Tuscan Reserve
Virginia

Any help would be appreciated!

Flavorart Desert Ship is one of my favorites. It works in light amounts as well as more concentrated levels. A drop of it in 10ml of any light juice adds a nice hint of tobacco without being obnoxious.

I recently bought 7 Leaves and Blackfire, but haven't tried them yet. Someone here can run down the flavors for you and describe them.

I can give you my opinion of 3 FA tobacco flavors and my thoughts aren't good.
FA Tuscan Reserve- smells like stale moldy socks in the concentrate form and equally as bad in vape form.
Maxx Blend- I don't like the taste in general of this flavor, it has a stale taste.
SOHO- I got this free as a sample and its also stale and dirty tasting.
7Leaves- not bad but it has to be mixed with a TA or other tobac or its a very bland vape even at 10% I had troubles finding flavor.

Never tried SOHO or Strom...

I've made lots of great stuff with FA tobaccos. The trick is to not expect the same flavor at 0.2% as you get at 1% and defiantly different taste at 5%.

I've got a recipe with Dark Vapure at a tiny fraction with TA, and some other stuff, that a friend of mine absolutely adores that I think tastes like a really cheap cigar. Great for besides the campfire at night, but not one I use all day.

The best one I have tried stand-alone was Burly, but I had to play around with the amount to get it "just right". I use several of the tobaccos in combination with other flavors though. Black Fire is really just a smoke flavor rather than a true tobacco but it really helps some recipes in small amounts. Same for Oakwood which really just tastes like "wood" to me. My "must haves" would be Cuban Supreme, 7 Leaves, and Burly but I have small bottles of most of the others in case I encounter an interesting recipe that calls for them. The RY4 is ok, but a little weak as a previous poster indicated. I usually use TFA Double RY4 when I make an RY4 type recipe.

-edit

A little OT, but if you like tobacco flavors Nude Nicotine has several NETs that I really like. Their Honey Tobacco is one of the best I've tried. Being NETs they do tend to gunk coils a bit though.

Guys,

Thank you very much for all of your replies, I really appreciate it. It's really helpful to hear what people are into.

Here's some non-tobacco flavors that I currently have in my stash. I think they should work pretty well with a tobacco from FA:

Acetyl Pyrazine, Bavarian Cream, Cream Fresh, Caramel, Hazelnut, Kentucky Bourbon, Maple Syrup, Pistachio, Toasted Almond, Vanilla Bourbon, Walnut

@herb and @tokarev I think I might have to start with Cuban Supreme. HIC's review has also nudged me in that direction. Do you guys think that it'll blend well with some of my stash flavors?

Thanks again!

Ps. Will definitely pick up Burley and Oak Wood to help my mixes too. Thanks to the guys who recommended them.

I agree that Burly is better as a mixer than a stand-alone, but I try most of my tobacco flavors stand-alone just to see what they taste like. Of the FA tobaccos I have tried, Burly seemed to me to be the most "tobacco like" flavor.

As for the Cuban Supreme, it is the basis for several of my mixes. Despite the name, it does not have a cigar taste. I'm not on the computer that has my recipes atm to look them up but I have several recipes that call for it. I just bought a 4 oz. bottle of the stuff just in case the supply starts to dry up. :tumble:

Vanilla Bourbon will need a long steep (3-4 weeks) to full develop, and doesn't require much (.5-1%). Add a little Caramel (2-3%), tobacco (Virginia?) (I use the Red at 4%) and you've got yourself a "good" RY4.

I have SoHo. Tastes like light tobacco with a subtle taste of an unsweetend baked good, like a biscotti. I added some meringue to sweeten it up, then added some toasted almond. It's nice.

Dark Vapure was a pleasant suprise. Tastes like FSUSA Pall Mall; been vaping it as a single flavor for a few weeks. I'm getting some cocoa and few other ingedients to replicate one of my favorite BWB tobaccos.

I also went with Cuban Supreme based on HIC's recommendation , i was very very happy with it. The reason i do not like Desert Ship is because it's a Turkish type flavor & i hate Turkish tobacco's .

I like Marlboro & Parliament flavor mixes . I went all in with FA tobacco's when i started vaping but i kept hearing how outstanding Hangsen tobacco's were.

I have full bottles of FA tobacco's collecting dust now.
