Ok... I always hear about rda vs rta and how dripping provides better flavour.

Let me explain my experience with both and tell me if I'm understanding the comparison.

I have several sub ohm tanks. The geekvapes Griffin, kanger subtank, and the youde goblin. All of these tanks provide ridiculously rich flavour to the point of almost making all my liquids unbearable after a while. The flavour of the vape is almost the flavour of the liquid itself if you put a drop on your tongue.

So I went out and got a royal hunter rda. I put a 0.22 dual coil titanium 28g build on it to use with my vapor flask lite in TC mode... What I experienced wasn't necessarily MORE flavour. It tasted like a more TRUE flavour. My tobacco liquids tasted like tobacco, instead of synthetic approximations. My fried banana monkey business liquid tasted, well, like actual fried bananas.

I hesitate to say flavours were "muted", rather, they were more subtle, more realistic, less "chemical" in taste. I found I much preferred the flavour from this build but i wouldn't say my liquids had MORE flavour. Does this make sense to any of you? Have you experienced the same thing? Or am I way off base here and maybe my build isn't functioning the way it should?

Perhaps it's just because I use Kanthal in my tanks compared to Ti in a dripper? Maybe I wouldn't experience this result using a basic Kanthal build in a dripper...

Either way, I much prefer Ti in my RH dripper compared to my tanks. So much so, that I may run Ti in a couple tanks and see how I like it.

I'd like to hear feedback from anyone else on this matter.

A lot of it has to do with the limitations of builds in a tank vs a dripper as well. You can fit more elaborate coil types in a dripper which enhance different flavor notes of juices that you wouldn't somewhat get in a tank. I also find that tanks with chimneys tend to rival that of a dripper but your still not going to get as pure of a flavor as you would from a dripper just due to your juice being freshly applied every time you vape. There is also more fresh air being able to mix in to a dripper which makes a purer vape as opposed to a sealed tank system.

I would agree with more flexibility for a dripper vs almost any other tank... Except for the Griffin RTA. If you've ever opened up this tank and looked at the build deck, you would be shocked. Velocity deck, and it's huge. you can actually put Clapton coils in the damn thing.

Having said that, yes, I would agree that fresh juice and airflow have a lot to do with the flavour differences between the two systems.

I just tried putting a single coil Ti build in my subtank. SUCKS. no flavour, and I have to crank the temp to 600 degrees to get any kind of vapour. I gotta say, using Titanium makes me nervous.. Every time I'm not getting a proper vape, I have this feeling I'm poisoning myself.

This is my first time using titanium at all. I've tried to do my research, and I'm hitting the resistance targets I want, but the end result doesn't seem quite right. Maybe I'll stick to kanthal for now and wait for my supplier to get some stainless steel wire in before continuing my experiments on Temp Control.

I feel like my health isn't at such high risk if I make a mistake on my build or settings.

As long as your in Tc mode and you don't have any shorts anywhere the wire will never get to a heat of jeopardizing your health. If the wire gets hot enough to fry in half that's where you run into trouble but could only happen if it's shorting on something. But to each there own opinion when health is concerned I am by no means going to advocate you putting yourself in a position of feeling uncomfortable.
