Best way to know is read threads on this forum, but also look online at a bunch of recipes. Most recipes include the total flavoring % at the end and that will give you an idea what people are using for different flavoring companies. Like e-liquid-recipes dot com for instance. That's the place I use when calculating a recipe, but also to look at what others have posted.

My Strawberry & Cream ADV started out at 31% flavor; I've managed to bring it down to 29%, and will be continuing, until I can hopefully get it to somewhere around 25%.

The Inawera Shisha Strawberry I use is a pretty strong flavor, but when I tried it, by itself, at 8%, to me it seemed really weak. So I doubled it to 16%, plus 15% of creams, vanilla, and sweetener -- and finally I had an ejuice I could actually taste. :D

I ordered a sample pack of various flavors and only liked 2 of them out of the 12 that were sent to me. My favorite so far is cinnamon roll.... I also like black cherry............. The other flavors though do not seem as strong not to mention that I wouldn't like the flavors even if they were strong enough. So Far, I haven't purchased my flavors from the places that most of you guys do but I am sure going to start. I have been getting the LorAnn water soluble flavors but I know there are better brands for vaping. I tried mixing a few of my own concoctions but so far haven't produced anything I like. However, the threads on here are real good as I have found lots of recipes that I am going to try in the future.

Just curious to find out if any of you use more than a 20% volume of flavor in your ejuices.
I have used up to 30% for some fruit flavors but I was using Flavor Concentrates no artificial ingredients flavorings which do not have any funky stuff happening if you use a lot it is just a stronger taste of the flavor with no flavor change or aftertaste, etc.

Andria, that reminds me, there is on additional flavor that I liked in addition to the couple that I mentioned above and that is Strawberry-kiwi..... I never mixed it as it came that way. At any rate you reminded me of this as you mentioned strawberry flavor. I love strawberries, so I will have to try strawberry.

Robert, oh I see... well that is good to know and I thank you for the info. I've got lots to learn about this recipe mixing art but am having fun with it in the meantime :)

The flavor concentrates flavorings are the only one I have found that the flavor holds true regardless of the % you use.

I am not exactly sure what you mean by flavor concentrates or where you buy them but since the word "concentrate" is being used I can only assume they are more potent than lots of other flavorings. Correct/incorrect?

I've never actually tasted "kiwi"... they kinda ick me out, just looking at them -- hairier than peaches, and GREEN -- like the incredible hulk of fruits. :D

Yes, I do have queer notions about fruit... no fruit salad of any kind, EVER. Fruit must be single, though I like the combo of bananas and blueberries. :D

I typically use TFA flavors, and most all of my recipes are in the 20-30% range. It seems surprising, but it works well for me. I have just started mixing with tobacco flavors, and word on the street is these need to set (steep) for some time. Many of my others I can vape right away. Some soften and "blend" as they have time to sit; others seem to not be quite as powerful after sitting.

I just mixed up over 200 mL yesterday (I mix for myself, and I can only vape so much at a time, right?) This batch should last me for quite some time.
