Hmmmm. Well, here's to you and I figuring this whole thing out one day

Let's hope so! :)

but it sounds to me like you've got a pretty good idea already. :) At least you can taste something! I just tried the Capella Orange Creamsicle at 50% and....nothing...no taste at all. Sooooooo frustrating! :-x

50% seems like an awful lot to me. It seems like it may be so high that the flavor is getting lost. Are you tasting anything at all? Can you taste food normally?

It seems high to me too! Lol! I started at 10%, no taste so made it 20%, and so on until I reached 50%. Each time I added more, I tried it until I just gave up after 50. As far as tasting real food goes, I've always known that my taste buds aren't what they should be, but I do taste it - at least to some degree.

Hmmm. *Thinking* This is going to sound stupid, but can you try tasting the flavoring itself (just a drop) and see if you taste anything? I've seen more than one post on here that Capella's is a bit on the weak side.

I tried the FA spicy cinnamon candy. If there's any cinnamon flavor in it, I'd like to know where. I tried it at 1%, 2%, 5%, and 10%. Nada. I don't know what that flavor is, but it sure isn't cinnamon! It's downright awful.

I also tried their regular cinnamon. Blech. Then I picked up some Lorann's cinnamon oil locally, and it's perfect for me at 1% flavoring. I love it!
I have to agree with you on this one. I've finally figured out what I was doing wrong with my mixing (assuming my 1ml syringe held 20 drops when it actually holds about 40). But even with the correct amounts, the FA Spicy Cinnamon Candy just doesn't cut it. Almost tasteless to me, whereas my other 2 flavors (so far) seem to be perfect.

My three favorites are Virginia, Perique Black and Cuban Supreme - CS both with and without vape Wizard. 2 drops/5 ml each.

A recent try that's promising is half Perique Black and half Latakia. Latakia by itself is bland, bland but the combo is nice. Same concentration each, 2 drops/5ml of each.

Keep in mind I don't like sweet flavors and only grudgingly accept the sweetness I get from glycerine (the vapor increase offsets the sweet).

Cowboy reminds me of Marlboro Lights.

I ordered all of the tobacco flavors, but they emailed me that the Cowboy was out of stock, so I just got the Vape Wizard instead. I don't want to ruin my juice w/ the vape wizard, any suggestions of how to use vw?

Vape wizard use very carefully. If you put too much you will kill all flavour. VW use for smoothnes hard tones of flavour and for fine tuning.
Try this recepies: 2 drops cuban Supreme, 3 drops Desert ship blend and 2 drops VW in 5ml. If you like sweet flavour thats the score.

Thanks for the recipe! That's much better than trying to pull off something I know nothing about! And how does VW "fine tune"? And what types of flavors does it work best in - sweet, tobacco, etc?

Strong flavour VW make milder and softener and if you put too much VW you can lose the taste. Sorry for my clumsy english. I hope you understand me all.

peaceoffcake describes VW perfectly. If a flavor is harsh, VW will tone it down. It will kill more subtle flavors if not used very sparingly.

My commercial Mboro clone:

For 30 ml:

7 drops flavourart burley
2 drops flavourart virginia
2 drops flavourart desert ship
2 ml seedman commercial
1 ml seedman virginia flue cured (optional, we don't add it but it does add a flavor making it more like Mboro)

Add to about 27 ml of your "vape base" - whatever mix of PG, VG, PGA, water you use for nicotine (if any) and liquid.
