I haven't been able to even formulate an idea about the eGo and what it does differently, but something it does. It's not the voltage - Scottbee tested the eGo, too, and it has stock-510-3.1v. It's not the mAh either, although there is something odd there: 180mAh last me between 45 minutes and an hour. 280mAh last me maybe 1.5 hours, or a bit less. So why do 650mAh last me 6-8 hours?
And why does almost everything taste so much better on the eGo, even without a cover?
