I've never had a problem. 3 oz total liquid in your carry on in 1 quart ziplock as fraychek said.

All your batteries should be in your carry on. I take all batts out of the pv's and put each separately in a little snack size ziplock. I carry a single fixed voltage eGo with empty mini Protank. Once through security I'll fill the Protank. I'll stealth vape that all the way to destination. Be careful though if you choose to do the latter. Don't get stupid with it.

I've never had a problem bringing a Provari or mechanical mechs through airport security. I put my mods in a case that goes in a bin with my keys, phone, wallet, etc. I keep my batteries in my carryon, and my liquid in bottles (less than 100ml) in my quart ziplock with my bottles of toiletries. Only once did someone ask me about my mods - he was familiar with electronic cigarettes but had never seen anything like mine (he was personally curious).
