Flooding an atomizer. What does it mean and what happens when you do it?

Sometimes I get the childish urge to drop like 20 drops into my 510 atomizer instead of 2, treating it like a tank, wondering what would happen. Massive leaking I guess and imagine that's why it's not done. But is this the only problem with overfilling an atty while dripping or bottom feeding? Just for theory sake, what would happen if you fired your atty while it was completely submerged in juice... say before it all leaked out in your lap?

1. Would the atty still fire?
2. If yes, would the juice vaporize normally?
3. If the atty would fire, and the juice does vaporize, would the vapor just remain a solute in the body of juice, or would it escape and be able to be inhaled?

Like salem said.. you end up with unvaporized juice in your mouth along with whatever amount ends up being vaporized. So the atty fires, but doesn't work as planned. So:
1) Yes
2) some fraction of it, but the rest is still liquid (the air draw is drawing juice and vapor)
3) Some fraction escapes. You'll know it when you do it... you get some vapor, a bunch of gurgling, and e-juice in mouth with vapor. Degree/ratio depends on how flooded it is and how hard you draw.

Most just blow it out at this point and start again.

Search the forum for "bonuts" if you are interested in atty modifications, or check cartos or tanks or there are "tank carts" that hold juice better than the standard carts that go on atties.

Me? I just drip... 3 drops, vape a bit, 3 drops............

Good Luck
