Talk about taking advantage of a media opportunity..............then have the audacity to make a claim such as this:

Interesting that facts are starting to come out. Too bad they are painting the rest of the industry as dangerous... unless you're smoking a "fake cigarette".

I bought some 3volt CR123s when I first started vaping and they were unprotected. They were for a camera. Anyway I was afraid to use them and they still sit on the shelf. I couldn't even give them away. I knew it was something like that. Used to happen frequently until everyone wised up.

I find it odd that you don't do mod reviews when many of them have more built in protection than the ecigarette industry standard. The Mods notcig.com builds and sells has 5 way protection and soon 6. But I guess the scare tactic is the best way to get articles read..
At 9v I wonder what kind if carto/atty he was using?
Probably had the element out of his stove in an old piece of gas line.

So everyone is going to blast them for saying mods are unsafe, yet believe them simply because they say they "are receiving information that it was a triple stack"?
The article makes it pretty clear that they are just guessing and using this opportunity to try and run down any competition. Nothing they say is credible at this point, at least in my opinion.

Be careful with what you read , this smacks of NEW AGE marketing to me, 3rd hand info , company talking about their product being safe , links to that site etc. !!
Mods have and will always have a major problem, does not matter how many safeguards you fit to a device a talented fool will always find a way to defeat them, you just cannot make a device idiot proof

I'm with Bovinia on this one. Mr. Holloway is the only one that can be considered a "reliable source."

I do know that even articles printed for major news media are not always based on fact. Somethings get embellished somehow. Whatever happened to good old honest reporting, it's a long lost art I'm afraid.

Aren't most e-cig products made in china??? Except for a few mfg companies like notcigs... ALL products from v2 come from china. Even their overpriced juice. I do hope that Mr. Holloway is doing good... Be nice if he would set the record straight at some point.

It's entirely fair to generate something on "news", since it gives others a chance to take a look at it and figure out if it sounds valid or not. This is a topic that people care about, so someone on ecf had to be the first to post about it popping up on the Web.
Best case is to not have multiple threads on the same topic, but it's good to see people out there looking for info
