Hey, I'm easy. Some suggestions have been made, by me and by others. So far nobody has really had any reaction to the suggestions. So, take charge girl, you can DO it!

Even if the locations isn't vape friendly inside.....most places have great patios !! Our meet in April was outside patio.....it was wonderful !!!

Dang...you got tons of sports bars on every corner everywhere.........and they all have outside areas !

Well, following your suggestion, I came up with the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, Oregon.

Thinking daylight, I mentioned a park. Nobody got excited about that possibility.

I think I get a general drift that a bar or tavern would be generally acceptable. I know a lot of them are smoke friendly, so vaping is a given if y'all can handle being around smokers.

I would create a Poll ... but it appears that's only an option for the initial post in a thread.

Things to consider ...
Location - Indoor/outdoor, bar, park, restaurant, attraction? A combination?
Activity - Eating, drinking, hiking, Frisbee Golf (j/k), a Panhandle cruise (oh, that's the car club).

Do we want to just get together over a few drinks and compare vaping notes & hardware/software? That'd be pretty cool for starters and there are plenty of locations, some of which have already been suggested. Is that the game plan? For some folks it would be a long haul for just that.

But, assuming there is something else nearby and that we don't start too late in the day, there's nothing to prevent the gathering from moving to a second venue.

Come on now. Be assertive!

You don't need to worry about making it a major deal.....just get together, some place that has food, people gotta eat....sports bars, wing houses, a pizza joint.....just a place to get together..oooooh and ahhhh over what everyone has.....try everyone's liquids...gripe about the kids.....take stuff with you-swap around....you might end up with an atty you've wanted or a carto...don't worry about activities....you will probably only be together a couple of hours, and you'll be yakking...time will fly by !

Just like meeting friends after school at the burger/pizza joint ! Ya know ! Lets meet at "......" after school......

OK.. but cringe at organizing anything, and i've had a ton on my plate, so feeling wiped. HOWEVER.. good ol' RIMP has suggested possibly a meet here in Pensacola. She brought up June (but not weekend's #1 & 2) so we are looking at either the 3rd or 4th weekend in June (June 17/18/19 or June 24/25/26) It would probably be on a Friday night maybe and then people could stay over till Saturday if interested, or hold it Saturday.

IF we have it in June .... I am condo sitting for my parents out on Pcola bch... there is a cute little restaurant (with outdoor seating too) that is right next door. We could meet there, and if anyone wants to stay and socialize, I could reserve the clubroom at the condo for spill over fun. OR worst case senario, we could just USE the clubroom, lounge about the pool, whatever.

There are also MANY MANY outdoorsy, fun, restaurants that we could meet at, in and around this area. All or most have outdoor seating, IF there is a problem with vaping indoors.

If we had it here and utilized the condo ammenities, I would prefer to do it on the weekend of the 17/18th. Just my 2c

(think I need some help!) Hey Pensacolians! Anyone know if any of the places out on the beach are vape friendly? I was thinking along the lines of Peg Leg's or Flounders maybe.. ? Any opinions? input?? anything?

Don't know about Pensacola, but Schooners or Pineapple Willy's are a couple great places, and it's more centrally located to the panhandle group. Just a thought. And the only brick and mortar vape store is just down the road.

Yankee. I'd hope that this first gathering won't be the last. There are lots of possibilities down the road. Let's get the ball rolling. RIMP would have a longer drive than we would and she's ready. Hey, who doesn't enjoy a nice weekend drive? I haven't been to Pensacola Beach in years ... and only a couple of times in my life. Yeah, I'd enjoy the change of scenery.

Our locals are spread out over a distance so we rotate the meets to different areas so people don't get stuck with the longest drive every time. Once you get your first meet down you can see where the vapers all came from and figure out if you guys need to rotate meets around too. I do think that once you get a meeting or two under your belt..posted and maybe even pix shown that more people will come out of the woodwork to join.

If anyone wants to meet up in Panama City Beach I would be willing to put up a poster in my store... and make copies to hand out to my customers! I would be happy to bring in some liquids from my store for folks to have a deep discount on. I will not be here from July 2nd to July 16th, though. Right now, this is the best I can do... as I am trying to expand the store and have my hands full.
And by the way, in response to an earlier post... we ARE starting to get in some American Made mods! Soon,,, very very soon!
(I am not impressed with the response time and shipping for my 'precise'. I can not work with a supplier that takes 2 months to fill an order. Too bad, I really wanted to stock them locally.)

Hey all! I jokingly sent a PM to NCC referring to us as "fellow Panhandlers" not knowing there actually is a group here on ECF called that! He graciously posted this link to me so here I am!

I regret that I am fairly limited to the PC for contact but after 27 years of law enforcement duties, I was disabled in 2003. All it affects is my ability to move around sp unfortunately for ECF, I spend a lot of time online!

I would feel honopred to be an honorary member even if get togethers in real life are mostly beyond my abilitites. And don't get me wrong - I am not complaining. Every day is a gift and I am thankful for it!

Even more now that my 40 year analog and 23 year smokeless habit have been replaced with vaping!
