Ok, So last week I used the regular fluxomizer cartomier and loved it. The only problem I had was not being able to tell when my juice was running low, so I would always accidently overfill it. So I figured that I would just get the clearomizers, so I could see how much juice I had, and it would be the exact same thing, just clear instead of stainless- Wrong!

Ok, so the first one I filled halfway with a banana pg/vg blend juice. It was delicious, so I couldn't wait to fill the other 4 with other new juices. The second one I filled with pure vg strawberry kiwi juice. I have never tried pure vg, and it gave me an awful burnt taste. I filled it the exact same way as the first one, and was aweful. Then I filled another one with a pure vg orange creamsicle juice. Same problem, I can taste a tiny bit of flavor, a lot of burn. So I filled the 4th one with pg/vg peach pie. Same problem. Ugh.... well last but not least i had a regular fluxomizer left over, so i put a vg/pg blend tropical fruit juice in it, no burnt taste, but a kinda funky taste.

Could it be the cartomizers? If so what can I do to make them taste like the first one? Am I doing something wrong? Could it be the juice? I'd hate to think I threw $40 away on new juice and cartos if they're going to taste nasty. I am using a standard 510 battery (efox) and the cartos are 2.4-2.6 ohms. Any help would be appreciated! If its just the cartos, are there any other clear ones that work good? I really like knowing when my juice is running low so I don't dry burn or overfill and waste juice. Again, thank you!!!!!

They rarely if ever work like they are supposed to out of the box and if you do take the time to get them working you'll want to replace the tube because the original will develop cracks and start leaking sooner or later, usually sooner. At that point look up the 3ml BD syringe mod, all you do is buy a 3ml BD Syringe, I get em at CVS, cut the tube to size and replace the original with it.

The most important thing I've found and this is before modding or after is flipping the carto before each hit. Flip it upside down long enough for the juice to get around the ceramic cup then flip it back over and vape. Once I started doing that I've never gotten a dry hit.

A mod you can do to help wicking is to remove the seal that fits over and around the ceramic cup. You can use a paperclip bent on one end or similar to do this, there are numerous youtube videos showing it. Once you get the seal out you'll see two slots where the went goes through into the coil. Use some sharp pointed scissors or whatever and make that area wider and a bit higher. I cut a upside down V shape around it. That'll give more room for the wick to go through. When you reinsert the seal don't push it all the way back down on the cup, just far enough to where it's sealing all the way around it, you really don't need to put it all the way down on the cup. If you find your getting juice in the center tube just push it a little further down until you find what works for you.

That's really all there is to it, the biggest thing is remembering to flip it before each hit which has become so automatic to me I flip everything now whether I'm using a C32 or not. Once the tube is replaced these things seem to last forever, I've got 3 I've been using over 3 months with regular cleaning and a dry burn.

Oh also try to stick with more PG based juices with it as it will wick better. I've used pure VG, Bobas Bounty etc with them and haven't had any issues with the things done above buy it is thicker.

ok so finally after getting the last rubber stopper out i can smell a harsh smell. Can this be solved by emptying and cleaning the carto? I tried the turn upside down thing, and any other tips and tricks i could find, but nothing seems to be working...

Also, one of my tubes came cracked, but I ordered extra ones so I could replace them. Well..... i tried just replacing the darn tube, but can't get the rubber stopper to go on right because the inner wick thing (i guess its the atty inside) is leaning to the side instead.

Ive been messing with these darn things for a whole day and am getting nowhere.... Are there any other clear cartos out there that are better? I can honestly say i'm getting p-off with these things. I just want something that I can fill and use and know when my juice gets low.... *Angry face* gerr...

The metal coil windings must touch the ceramic fiber wick.
If it doesn't you can pick at wick w/ needle until it touches coil everywhere.

You can get Dual Coil cartos in clear. Better or not that depends on who you ask, they are definitely better out of the box and require no fiddling. You'll need a bigger battery for these though, they aren't for use on a battery like the regular 510 or other slim batts.

The thing leaning to the side is the ceramic cup that sits on top of the inner tube and it has the coil inside of it. It can get pushed slightly to one side not allowing the seal to go down around it evenly. Just take a paperclip or whatever along the side of the tube and center it before your replace the seal.

If the juice is already burnt inside then yeah you'll need to clean it. I usually clean mine with the tube on but it's easier with them off, especially if you aren't use to it. Just soak or flush them out for a while the let them dry and do a dry burn to remove the gunk from around the coil.

Tubes cracking or coming already cracked is common with these. I just do the syringe mod as soon as I open the box up and don't have to worry about it.

It's just about impossible to get the coil clean without dry burning. if you've got a really soft bristle brush that will fit down inside the cup you can try that after soaking but be very gentle, don't want to move or disrupt the coil. After that just puff on it a few times without any liquid(DON'T INHALE) that should remove some of it, enough to make it perform better anyway.

Might want to look into a pass through, they are inexpensive, great for dry burning and don't run down your battery.

What kind of bat should I get? any inexpensive ideas? I've already spent $200 this month that I feel was totally wasted...maybe its time to look into a better set up... I can't afford to spend too much more money on this new habit but if anyone knows a set up that would be easy and stress free my ears are totally open. Or if anyone knows of a clear carto that would fit my 510 that would be awesome too thank you!!!

had the same taste and felt i was wasting the 20 clearomizers i had... check out the arry tank @ stormy vapor. heres the link: Arry CE2 Tank - $25.99 : Stormys Vapor Cellar, Electronic Cigarettes & More
jus remove the clearomizer clear sleeve and plug it into the tank and vape! the tanks are on sale and theres a coupon code: 15off
enjoy!

So I use the clearomizer insides that I already have? If so then wont I still have that burnt taste? Also, thats a little sttep for just one tank for me, any affordable options?

yes. it comes with 1 i believe then just keep replacing with your own. depends on how many you have but its a great option. also better wicking so no more burnt taste. this tank should last you a long time especially if you have a bunch of clearo's. whats $25 when your already wasting a bunch of juice anyway. atleast you will get the satisfaction your searching for.

another note. pure VG doesnt wick well in any ce2 carto. you will only get about 3-5 good puffs before you need to turn it upside down to increase wicking into the coil.

trust me though...pg/vg mix and arry tank will make you a believer in clearo's again.

That would be awesome, but I like switching between different juices throughout the day... would be like 100 just for 4 flavors...any inexpensive ideas? The only reason I want the clear ones it because I hate guessing how full my carto is, and I always either put way too much in and waste a bit of juice, or I accidentally let them run dry... It drives me nuts too... I really love the regular fluxomizers thats why it just eats at me that these don't work properly...I figured they would be the exact same thing just a clear tube instead of stainless... how about the g4 or any of the other brands...they any good?

I don't think there's anything more easy, stress free or inexpensive than a fat bat like the Riva or Ego with a Boge 2.0 carto. That's a great setup to start. Easy to fill, performs well and just works out of the box. They aren't clear but it's impossible to over fill. If you see juice coming out when filling just blow it out good to remove the excess and it's ready to vape. When you sense the flavor or vapor going down top it off or if in doubt top it off. It's always better to error on the side of topping off, filling to often rather than letting them get to dry and that's easy to pick up on after you use them a while.

If you want to try another clear style carto that just works out of the box go with the dual coil cartos. With Boge 2.0 or the DC you'll need something bigger than a normal 510 which is sounds like what your using. You could use Boge 2.5 with a slim battery but I wouldn't go any lower than that. Several ways you could go with a DC or Boge 2.0 setup. Liberty Flights has the Riva Lite kits for < $30 after clicking the 20% off link or you could get a Riva Battery for just over $10. The kit is a better deal imo, comes with 2 batteries, 2 attys, cone and charger.

You could also go with a pass through but this will mean you'll be tied to a power source when using it. Pass throughs are great though for doing dry burns as you aren't draining batteries that way.

Another cheap way to go is a inexpensive box mod but they aren't tube shape and are made of plastic so they are a little more delicate, great performance though for the price.

That was my issue with tanks. I don't vape as much as many around here, maybe 2-3ml a day, usually closer to 2. I can fill 2 of my modded CE2s up with 2 different flavors and be good for a day or more. With the tank You have to go through cleaning etc to change flavors unless you want to mix em. Outside or holding more juice performance was the same for me and I can buy 100 syringe or more tubes for the price of 1 tank. I can see where if someone vaped more they would be worth it though.

As far as the fluxos not working for you I don't know what to suggest other than what I've already written. They are the same as the steel ones providing they are the same revision. You will need something more powerful than your 510 to properly clean them with a dry burn.

I wouldn't worry about running it dry to much clear or not, with experience you'll learn to pick up on that fast and when in doubt add liquid, that way you don't have to worry about it. You'll start to figure out by how much your adding whether it needs it or not and go from there.

If you're having issues with the CE2 I wouldn't recommend the G4 or new Smokeymizers just yet. They all require some fiddling to get them performing correctly. The only clear ones I would recommend are the Dual Core.

I just made the mistake of including a pack of CE2 XL fat-wick clearos to try out with my new juice order- all vg. I immediately noticed a wicking problem. I may have to just go back to the regular cartos/atties for for this batch of liquid. I do like the sheer quantity of juice this can hold, I just wish it worked better with vg.. Funny thing, this vg is "supposed" to be relatively thin for vg. It's thinner than other vg stuff i've tried... just not enough i suppose.

Turning it over helps marginally. seems like the best thing to do is clasp it in your hand to warm up the juice. viscosity drops with temperature.

My CE2 wicks fine w/ 90% VG mixed w/ 10% H2O.
Give a little time between toots.
Make sure silicone seal not pinching wick.
