I have some Fluxomizers that are 2.6-2.8 ohms. They are the 808 thread but I am using them on a 650 mah eGo regulated battery with an adapter. I have tried several different juices all are 24mg and range from 100% PG to 70PG/30VG.

I am getting a good amount of warm vapor but TH and flavor is very muted. I have fluffed the wicks and and I am not getting any dry hits so I think they are wicking ok.

Is this normal for the TH and flavor to be muted? Should I be using a different ohm range? Or a different battery perhaps?

I am waiting on another pack of fluxomizers that are 510 thread but they have not arrived yet.

Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

In general, lower ohms does give you more throat hit. However, at least for flavor, you CAN TRY very carefully vaping without the mouth piece.

Thanks for the suggestion. I removed the mouth piece/top plug but it did not improve it. I have a pack of 2.4-2.6 ohm ones coming in a day or two. Maybe they will be better.

I thought about buying one of the eGo VV batteries and seeing if they would vape better at 3.7 or 4.2 volt.

Vaping without a mouth piece helps flavors on visions more than fluxos...ah well, it is an easy thing to try.

I am ALWAYS a fan of vv. They'll cover a multiple of sins and imperfections :)

I am curious, to what are you comparing the fluxos to? Because compared to dripping on an atty, most anything will be muted.

Hopefully someone pops in with a more helpful suggestion.

Well I have been using eGo-T, eGo-C and sometimes KR808 with horizontal single coil cartos. When the eGo-T and C's are wicking well I get great flavor & TH but they are sometimes hit & miss.

Some of it could be some of my juices. I do have a 555 from Smokeless Image that is a fairly strong flavor and I do get a decent TH & flavor from that one.

You may like the 2.4-2.6 ohm better. It depends on the juice, but I vape 2.6-2.8 ohm Fluxos at 4.0 to 4.3 volts on a VV device.

Yes I'm hoping the 2.4-2.6 will do better when I get them. I think I will get a VV. I guess I'll start with the eGo VV battery because it is a small investment of $20.

Lower ohm should help, The ohm rateing can vary by as much as +- .2 .3 ohms so VV does help with fine tuneing.
I see little noticeable difference with a .1volt increase but notice a difference +- .2V
Nothing against the VV eGo but it jumps from 3.4ish to 3.7 to 4.2V so it may well jump past the sweet spot your looking for but it does give you a little more wiggle room then what you have now.

Is there any other VV devices available that don't cost $100 or more?

There are several vv box mods havnt tried any of them.
Theres the Lavatube clones run between $60-70, I had one and it started acting up so I sent it back.
I had a Provari in my shopping cart for like 3days and finally hit the place order button ouch$$$$ it hasnt shipped yet. For now I am back to my ego's but sure miss the VV.
