So i took my first fluxomizer (2.4ohm, .9ml smokey) apart to clean it yesterday and I noticed after I removed the tube that the wick is cut half way through on both sides. The wick has "strands" that extend from the bottom up to the cup, but at the cup they don't actually enter the cup or coil cause they are cut. I tried to gently remove the cut strands of the wick, but the rest of the wick just fell apart on me.

I looked at my second fluxomizer and it has the same issue with the wick. This may explain the issues Im having with my juice not wicking well (i know the other primary issue is that my juice is kinda thick.) I used a mix of BB and hype in my first fluxo, i got that burnt ashy taste after a day and a half.

For the second Fluxo I put in some Mrs T strawberry lemonade, and I am starting to get that same burnt ashy taste after less than a day.

Is there any way to fix this issue?

I really like the flavor and large amounts of vapor I get out of these things, but I think I'm gonna put them on the back shelf until I can find out why I'm having these problems.

BTW I am using these without the plugs at all, so thats not causing the wicking issues. Once I get my orders for juice in (thinner, 70/30 pg/vg) then Ill try it again.

I second that. :2c:

If the cup was more rounded at the notches, it would wick better and make the wicks last longer too. But Microcig doesn't want them to last tooo long...

We'll just have to commit to buying everything from GotVapes, make them rich, and allow them to start manufacturing their own Fluxos. You know those would be perfect... And if they weren't, you also know they would keep trying until they were.

That design actually accomplishes Two Improvements.

1) It keeps helps the wick from laying flat/binding at the edge of the Cup Slot.

2) The Bevel on the Cup Seal makes replacing the Cup Seal easier.

Someone mentioned that they RS/MiT didn't want these CE2's to last too long. Hence the lack of signification improvements to the Original design of the CE2.

An OEM would Appear to make more money by selling a Truly Disposable Carto. At least in principle. But what RS/MiT failed to consider is that by not making design changes to make a CE2 more user friendly out of the box, they limited their customer base to people who are willing/like to tweak things.

There is a Much larger percentage of people who Don't want to tweak cartos so they work for them.

For every One person who is willing to read 1,000's of pages of ECF posts and try flipping this of cutting that on a CE2, there is Ten people who just say Screw It and don't ever buy them again.
