just got my VV ego's.. and fluxo's...

having some issues however :(

i tried the "easy" way to remove the inner plug,.. by shimmying the tube off while it was screwed onto the batt..

once the tube popped off, the wires that lead from the batt connection to the atomizer pulled apart and were destroyed. that sucked big time, throwing away the first fluxo i fiddled with.

i also noticed that aside from the ONE included fluxo that was a 1.7mL, NONE of the .9mL fluxo's in the 5-pack i ordered had a MIDDLE plug between the mouthpiece and inner plug. All of the vids I have seen instructed me on how to remove the mouthpiece and middle plug to get to the inner plug, and without realizing this, i destroyed an inner plug with my mini-flathead trying to remove something that was not there in the first place.

so now i'm down to three of the 5-pack .9mL fluxo's...

successfully filled one with a 50/50 PG/VG hypnotic myst e-juice from one of my favorite juice vendors thus far, deejstuff.

i get a burnt wick-ey taste, and no actual juice flavor at all. great,.. down to 2 fluxo's.

thinking that the VG content was too high or the juice might be too thick, i pull a bottle of 70% PG 30% VG juice from titan vapors (mangorita flavor)... and fill the second to last fluxo.

same burnt taste. no flavor. :?::glare:

i'm down to my last fluxomizer now, and deathly afraid to fill it with one of my juices because it seems no matter what i do or what juice I use, it ends poorly for me.

any advice would be appreciated. because at this point, as much as i've loved cartomizers on my other e-cig.. i'm hating this right now. i was so excited to get my VV ego, and now i'm having trouble enjoying it. thoroughly considering switching to a Tank setup or starting to buy atomizers and drip... unless i receive some clutch advice here.

Hey uAdC,

That sure sounds frustrating!

Yes, the non-XL versions of the Fluxomizer do not come with the middle ring

i tried the "easy" way to remove the inner plug,.. by shimmying the tube off while it was screwed onto the batt..

I haven't attempted that with the deluxes. Generally I warn against it because it puts stress on the battery connection, which isn't as easily replaced as a fluxo. I do understand though that it's modus operandi with the older CE-2s.

thinking that the VG content was too high or the juice might be too thick, i pull a bottle of 70% PG 30% VG juice from titan vapors (mangorita flavor)... and fill the second to last fluxo.

As I've mentioned here before: I use 100% VG without problems so I don't think that's the issue

i get a burnt wick-ey taste, and no actual juice flavor at all. great,.. down to 2 fluxo's.

Did you remove the inner plug on those? You could replace it with the 1 middle ring from the XL version. I know that isn't convenient for switching between cartos but they do come out very easy just using a pen or mechanical pencil tip. If you aren't getting juice flavor then there simply isn't juice at the wick. I personally don't fluff the wicks and use the middle ring so that there's air space between the seal and the wicks. This works great with thick fluid, simply turn the fluxo upside-down if it seems a bit try and air bubbles will come up from the holes - their space being displaced inside the cup by fluid soaking the wick. If you're using the original cup-seal I would imagine you need to give it some time for the fluid to wick to the coil before vaping.

i'm down to my last fluxomizer now, and deathly afraid to fill it with one of my juices because it seems no matter what i do or what juice I use, it ends poorly for me.

Try to stick with it; they do really work well

I hope some of this helps

What he said! Take the time, learn how to make them work, it is frustrating at first but once you get it it's simple and they are an awesome vape, well worth the learning curve.

50/50 may be too thick for them without the wick slot mod hence the burning taste, I use max 75/25

uadc---try NOT removing the inner plug first...I rarely do that, but...to remove it is much simpler than you woudl believe...

What I do is simply lift the inner fill ring a tad on either side where the wick enteers the cop. DON"T pull the tube, don't need to. KISS applies here.

I am on Skype with user name 'gotvapes' ... if you need help I will come on cam and show you a bit...please identify yurself as uadc so I know who you are...

My fluxomizer journey to date:

Ordered: GotVapes FLuXomizer™ DeLuXe CLEAR NoTint 510 REG .9ml 2.6-2.8ohm, 2 packages. Received 2 packages of 5 ea. devices. Had researched this product (you tube, ECF forum, other forums, etc.) and suspected that these devices would not be "ready to go" right out of the package; low and behold, I was right.

I am also a noob to vaping - like direct dripping but do not like the process; use cartos but do not like the flavor reduction due to the carto filling material.

So - the .9ml devices came packaged in a foam grid (all the videos I saw showed the product in a foil/cellophane like package), also no middle O ring; thought that perhaps I had received the wrong product. E-mailed GotVapes (twice) in regards to packaging and no O ring, did get 2 replies that the .9ml size have no O rings and that sometimes the smaller size is shipped in foam. OK let's give this product a try. (BTW have to use an illuminated 10x stand mounted magnifying glass to even see the parts on these things seems I am getting older by the minute).

Read the directions and decide to try one as is out of the box. Try to use the provided filling needle -will not fit in the holes provided so try the "drilling" method as per one of the how to videos. Rubber plug filled the needle (no way to remove the rubber) rendering the supplied needle useless. What now - wait, I have an injectable grade needle (aka sharps); manage to orient the beveled side against the tube and very gently slide this needle past the bottom plug and successfully "fill" with juice.
Wait perhaps two minutes and can see that the wick at the ceramic cup is wet so take vape - horrible burned flavor; wait perhaps another five minutes, vape again - horrible burned flavor. What now?

Do some more research and find out that perhaps you need to "pre-burn" the wick and that preburning is not recommended with the bottom plug in place. Time for bottom plug removal. Review how to videos and proceed with bottom plug removal; promptly broke ceramic cup; tried again on a different tube and destroyed bottom plug. So now have ruined two devices.

Do some more research and find the trick of removing the tube from the battery connection; try this on two broken devices, works and manage to make a workable device from the parts. Proceed to clean and dry burn the wick - fill with juice - take vape and WOW. Had a vv device @ 4.2v, immediately reduced it to 3.7v and double WOW; great vape. Moved fluxomizer to standard eGo type 3.7v device, and still WOW. When working, the vape from the fluxomizer is incredible.

For the heck of it, kept the time spent on "fiddling" with this product (would use another "f" word but not polite, and when working is an unbelievable vape); have spent over 14 hours "fiddling" now have seven usable devices out of 10.

Other issues: have not been able to get the bottom plug to fully re-seat as it comes from the factory; when in a horizontal position the devices will leak (overnight); dry hits - hold upside down - count one, two, three - no more dry hit. One leaks from the battery connector; I probably damaged the breathing tube connection with my "fiddling". Have not cracked a tube.

As of right now the "jury is out" for me in regards to this product. When working, INCREDIBLE VAPE, "fiddling" to get working, not great at all. Do not know anything about long term use; with shipping costs me about $2.20 each; have refilled 2 four times.
These things just eat the juice.

Sorry for the wall of text - but perhaps this might provide some help to you or others.

BTW, at this time I will choose to believe that the people at GotVapes are really trying to develop a superior vaping product; and if successful should reap financial rewards.

Just not quite there yet.

uAdC, regarding the 2 fluxo's that you filled and got burned taste from... My 2 go-to juices are 100% VG and 95% VG... very thick... I have to let them sit for a few hours before they wick properly. If I fill a new fluxo, or a fluxo that I just cleaned and dry burned, and try to vape right away, I get one good puff, then burny taste. But if I let them sit for 2-3 hours, then vape, I'm good to go. This is only with a brand new, or newly cleaned fluxomizer. If I'm just refilling, no waiting needed, just fill and go. It seems to take a loooong time for thicker juice to properly saturate the wicks, and I think alot of people are getting dry hits from new fluxomizers because of it. Once the wicks are properly saturated, I can chain vape to my heart's content.

I use mostly 70/30 PG/VG and I get a burned taste when first filling the Fluxo's. I remove the cup seal and only uses the middle seal. For a fresh or a newly cleaned Fluxo I would fill it and let it sit on its side overnight and no more burned taste. No problems on re-fills either.

I've made some Custom drip tips that fit down outside the cup. I used "sculpy 3" and an old ce2 to mold it then baked it IN the stainless ce2. I would imagine anything 510 would work for this purpose. I make them too long, then cut only slightly long.... Then I use a precision screwdriver to carve out the bottom to fit the cup. I thought about selling them, but it is VERY time consuming to make these. BTW... I did try FIMO, but got an altered taste to the juice.

Edit... I gutted the old CE2 before doing this to use more of the tube.
