I have a Innokin VTR and a Precise Simplicity. Can I carry these on with me? I will have 2 15mls bottles with me as well. So what do I need to do? Please help. I will be taken both of these mods as well. My tanks are a Iclear 30s and a kanger evod.

I carry my mvp2 and spinner every time I fly. Flown 20-30 times over the past year without tsa even batting an eye. I usually bring 3-4 30 mls bottles as I go through a lot. If you are stealthy you can vape in the airport...most people wont know or care what you are doing. Just don't be a jack hole blowing big plumes claiming it's not smoking. :). I stealth vape on the plane as well...though on the plane I switch to a low smell or pleasant smelling liquid (fruity). I use pro tanks ...they flood sometimes though due to cabin pressure but a quick wipe of the coil with a napkin at altitude keeps it going until descending again.

Since I stealth and am low key I usually won't ask for someone's permission. I find forgiveness is easier to ask than permission. :). The only times I've asked is when I'm getting hammered at the airport bar, the bartender is nice and I don't feel like stealthing - in every case I've received a "no big deal".

In January I flew with a Ego, a CE4 and a 30ml bottle of fruit mix eliquid....

I flew from Houston to Reno with a connection in Phoenix.

Had it all in my carry on. I put the liquid and the CE4 in clear bag like you would other liquids. Battery was with my other electronics.

When in Houston George Bush, I asked the Feds if I could vape -- they said what? then -- oh, one of those electronic cigs? I said yes and she said yes.

On U.S Airways, I asked the Flight attendant if I could vape... she said what?? I said electronics cig -- she said no, it was against the law?? I didnt argue....

The lavatory?

I read somewhere that a e-cig will set off a smoke detector --- I took mine down from my hallway -- experimented -- it set off the detector. I went the entire flight with no vaping...

true story.. Now if you have problems?? please don't blame me....

The End....

Alright thank you guys for the feedback, I been reading articles and watching the GrimmGreen video on traveling with E-cigs. So I can have my mods, batteries, tanks, and juice on my carry on with no problem?

Yes you can...no problem with tsa and security.

I wouldn't recommend stealth vaping in the airplane bathroom. I'm not sure what kind of detectors they use but some detectors use photo beams... http://home.howstuffworks.com/home-improvement/household-safety/fire/smoke1.htm

No problem at all. In fact I didn't even bother to pack my or my wife's SVDs list time we flew. Carried them in our hands and just set them in the tray with everything else. Used them in the bars before we boarded our flight.

been flying with my gear for years now and only got stopped once. was this past weekend coming out of LGA.
Was carrying mods that he had never seen like the microstick, etc. Talked a bit about where they were made and if they helped. Nice guy. Never an issue with liquids. Many pilots and crew members do vape...we just don't talk about it on our way to the toilet.

I found this very helpful because I will be flying from Houston to PHX. So I understand vaping will set off smoke detector, but will stealth vaping set it off ?

I have flown across the country numerous times with my SVD. I keep it in my backpack or sometimes i just put it in the tray to scan. Never had a look or anything. I vape fruit or dessert flavors so most of the time, passengers around me actually enjoy the smell and ask more questions than say anything negative. If you don't go trying to fog the cabin out and keep it on the down low, most people don't care. If you are flying to SF or Cali in general, there will always be someone that will make a big deal out of it but anywhere else, should be no issues. Good luck and hope it goes well for you! Safe travels and happy vaping along the way!

Thanks to everyone that was passing on information here. One of the biggest reasons I stuck with cig a likes was the amount of flying I have to do on business, both in and outside the States. Just before I got my new setup over the weekend the wife and I had a long talk about spending the money for something I could only vape at home. Now I can be alot more confident about my ability to travel with something that's actually working for me and just keeping the cig a likes for backup.
