Flying with my Reo Question

After reading a few threads about flying, altitudes and Reos, I took the advice of only having my tank half full and unscrewing the top a bit to relieve pressure. That worked fine... No leakage. But when I landed at my layover and tightened the cap now it will not squonk at all. Any suggestions? I could sure use a nice vape about now.

Might be worth it to remove the tube and put it back on, not sure.

Try removing the bottle, Hold the tube out from the Reo a bit, cover the hole in your RBA and blow through your drip tip. Can you blow through it. If you can put the bottle back on, take your drip tip off so you can see inside the rba and squeeze the bottle til you see juice coming up though.

Sounds like the o-ring in your bottle isn't seated properly. Try loosening the bottle a couple of turns and then tighten it back up. Just slightly snug. Do not over tighten or the o-ring will wad up and it won't seal properly. No seal; no squonk.

I was going to guess that either your o-ring isn't seated properly, or that your tube isn't cut at an angle on the bottom sticking into the bottle and has sealed itself to the bottom of the bottle.

Take off the cap and make sure that the o-ring is seated properly, and I strongly recommend cutting either a v-notch in the bottom of the tube or just cutting it off at a slight angle so that it cannot suck to the bottom of the bottle.

If you watch your tube and bottle when you are squonking you should be able to see where the problem is coming from, but I would bet it's one or the other.

This exact thing happened to me. Though for sure the atty or 510 connector was clogged. Took it all apart nothing was clogged. Put the bottle back on and it worked. I probably tightened the bottle to much or it had vapor lock

Presumably if you turn the Reo upside down and squonk the juice out of the tube, it'll equalise the air pocket with ambient pressure.

Less hassle than taking the bottle off.

2nd most lazy... i'm a retired programmer

Not sure what really fixed it except before doing anything I squonked it pretty firmly and juice went up the tube. So I am wondering if it was just because it was only half full I was needing to squonk harder anyway?

I would still cut a inverted V in the bottom of the feed tube. As a matter of fact I did this before I even added juice the first time.

This is worth repeating. You're not dead in the water if the juice feed clogs.

It's also worth carrying one of these in your pocket change as an RM2 coil backup. I prefer to add a carto condom on the 510 connector side as well.

I noticed there was already a slant cut in it. Maybe I should do the other side...huh?

you want the high point of the V in the center so it cannot suck to the bottom, corner or the side.
