is the yihi sx300 from yosen zero sx step down voltage capable?

old chi you again in clearance sales =)) so ordered one, together with universal tools copiler, and kuro coiler (3mm).
now i'll be able to use both 18650 and 18500 factors of fc vela (23mm) at once, or replace the kato switch if it bothers me too much.

pendent vapeporn, anticipating the spring (welcome to the colors!). i was not sure of the right background, so am posting all of them:
fc wheel destiny copper cartel + aqua v2
alu nemesis + fc amod erlkönigin (+ibtanked glass tank +drip tip adapter from an erl from ft)
alu nemesis + kfl v2 (belly cap)

as far as I know the SX300 doesn't step down :( the minimum is 4 volts I believe...

thank you, Audrey =))

thanks, Nelson, i've been researching a bit, because step down capability is not clear for the yihi chips and their multiple variations.
doing step down: sx130 (in pwm mode), sx330 v3 (100w), sx350, sx350mini
so who knows about sx300c, sx330v2c..
on the yihi site there is a chart included for each chip that states the min-max voltage. :) for eg the SX130 is 3-8v and the SX300 is 4-8.5v

yep, but these charts may be incomplete sometimes. for example, it says nothing about sx130 capability of working in two modes: dc and pwm. 3-8v is the output voltage range for dc mode (although it will output a minimum of the charge of the battery, minus voltage drop), while it supposedly can step down in pwm mode (down to 1.2v, for example?), independently of the battery charge. i might be wrong

I'm going to try titanium instead of nickel. I have a severe nickel allergy. And titanium isn't soft so I expect it to build like kanthal.

I read that there is are some resistance and reading issues with titanium though, and something about nasty white crust forming on the coils, so just make sure you thoroughly research the titanium wire before you use it hun. :)

Yes, I am very giddy...I'm the person who literally had dreams about the Atlantis and Subtank before they came out. "It's a problem"

I did order the SX300 last night...ordered it in green. I'm really glad to hear you all who have it like it. I don't have anything that looks remotely like it. Now I'm kinda glad the iStick 50 watt has been on delay before I could buy it...in the meantime I'm having too much fun scoping out other 50 watt devices.

:)

Oh, without even seeing the iStick 50W I can promise that the SX300 chip is in a completely different class than anything iStick. ;-) There is another thread in the APV section of the forum titled "SX Zero clone or 50W" , and at the end of the thread there is some new user feedback there.

As far a vapers "with problems", you are so in the right place because everyone in this thread has serious issues  (true story) So don't look for anyone to talk you out of spending here, there is nothing but a lot of remorseless enablers in this thread

Aww Haku, look at you being all colorful and creative  So nice hun :)

The SX300 chip does not step down below actual battery voltage.

What do you think of the bell cap? They're different looking, I'll give them that. But with the need for a nano chimney and the corresponding nano capacity I've been on the fence about getting one since they first appeared.

I'd be curious to know exactly which of the crop of newer 30W devices had step down voltage, not just the yihi. That's my only complaint with the Zero I have, one of the first batch focalecig offered 30W and physical +/- buttons, otherwise I love the device. And the new acrylic blue that focalecig has is very nice looking.

I have :). One of my friends has been using it for awhile, and has been very helpful.

Anyone else have trouble with the dimitri not firing? I have mucked around with it for a few hours today and seems it fires when it wants to. No ryhme or reason. For instance it was firing fine for the last hour then all of a sudden stopped. I took everything out, messed with the fire pin inside changing the length and seems it only works (when it does work) with it screwed all the way up. Then I have noticed my first time using it, it drained all of one battery but none of the other. I put another set in and it drained them the same, next time drained one and not the other. All new sets of batteries. Just thought I would throw it out here to see if anyone else was having these issues. I know I talked to inswava and he confirmed that some other folks have reported the battery drain thing.
Anyway just thought i would see if anyone else is experiencing this. I mean it is fully mechanical, not much can be wrong, so figuring out things like this drive me crazy. Also wanted to note I screwed the battery connection post on the bottom in on both batteries.

Yes, Nathan/Inswva reported something similar last week, he said he changed to the spare 510 connection and it started firing again. Not sure if he ever figured out why the first set up stopped firing though. He also said he took it apart and couldn't find anything that makes sense.... Ivogo

I don't know how far Supreme Vapor is from you, but I "heard" that they had some issues with the batch of Dimitri's that they had, but I believe they may have figured out what the issue was so go see if someone at the shop can help you out. ;-)

Yep, forgot to mention in our PMs Crocky that I swapped in the spare 510 assembly. Kind of important info, lol. I haven't had a chance to diagnose the "bad" 510 yet.

Once my copper sheet arrives I'll cut you some connectors. I still don't have a tracking number for it so I'm not sure if it has been shipped. As soon as I have the connectors cut I'll let you know.

I set aside a small amount of my annual bonus for some authentic purchases and the Dimitri is definitely being considered. I also have a line on a very reasonably priced authentic Mephisto V2 which I will certainly be purchasing assuming any are left in stock by the time the cash hits my account. I'm also considering an OG Slug if I can find a used one for a reasonable price.

Oh you Wakondanites  I was actually looking at the Virus on Giant Vapes the other night, but I am ...... at how royally USPS screwed up the delivery of my other juice order with the Seduce Juice Snake Oil and Nicoticket Creme Brulee

Was supposed to be delivered on Monday, was misrouted to Miller Place and currently there is no status available for it. So upset ... this is the second time within a week that USPS misrouted one of my packages to this darn Miller Place which is no where near me, nor is it even close to the same zip code, so I don't understand why this keeps happening
