Aww Haku, look at you being all colorful and creative  So nice hun :)

The SX300 chip does not step down below actual battery voltage.
thank you, and thank you!
you know you are my inspiration, i'd never had got a camera to take porn pics, except for doa/warranty issues :)

What do you think of the bell cap? They're different looking, I'll give them that. But with the need for a nano chimney and the corresponding nano capacity I've been on the fence about getting one since they first appeared.

I'd be curious to know exactly which of the crop of newer 30W devices had step down voltage, not just the yihi. That's my only complaint with the Zero I have, one of the first batch focalecig offered 30W and physical +/- buttons, otherwise I love the device. And the new acrylic blue that focalecig has is very nice looking.
i'm liking the belly caps. as you say, it's a different looking, and renewing is always refreshing.
i don't mind about the small capacity, because i use to have some filled setups and flavors at once: it lasts enough, then. so my problem is just the opposite: liquid degradation in full filled large tanks. it gets filled quickly, no issues (bottom filled though); i use a needle bottle/syringe, but guess a thin tip would also work.
my juices are 99% tobacco flavors, so there is no danger of tank cracking.
am using the kfl v2 nano chimney now, but other spare short chimneys ($1.74) also work ok. i didn't have to replace the o-ring; it seals these chimneys ok, but you have to use a long (16mm) chimney base (if you only have 14mm ones, you can buy a long one, or use a thick o-ring between base and chimney).

step down voltage is important for people who use low wattage. i always look at that detail (for myself, till i got the sxmini: now am using thicker wire and vaping from 12 to 25w; or for suggesting gear to my friends now). yesterday, a friend reported she got her lips burnt, while using an istick with her new subtank nano (1.2ohm coil), and she didn't know why; she was thinking to get rid of the subtank. suggested her to get rid of the istick, lol.
anyway, step down voltage is desirable for all kind of vapers, because you can be sure of the wattage being released. for instance, if you like to vape at 25w on a 0.5ohm coil, a full battery (~4.15v) will deliver near 35w (4.15 x 4.15 / 0.5); 10w difference.

none of istick, kamry 20, smok xpro can step down. other than yihi, you only have step down in mods with dna40 chipset. don't know about the itaste mvp 3 (although MTM thinks it can step down, i doubt it).
i'm suggesting all my friends who need step down, to get the ipv mini: yihi sx130, 30w, can step down in pwm mode (you can select from 2 modes: dc and pwm); floating (spring loaded) 510, affordable price. i've already ordered 2 for them.
it's not sure that the new ipv mini 2 will have step down; it comes with yihi sx330. only version 3 of this chip (100w) has step down. maybe it comes with a variation of the sx330. don't know.

Haku, i like that drip tip that you've got on the aqua!

@ bsop, I think the mvp3 does step down.

thank you!
it suggested me to choose the pencils theme of the photo, lol.
it's the top part of a 2 pieces drip tip from ft (bullet drip tip, you also have it in copper and brass colors), wide bottom bore in both pieces.
came with translucent o-rings, which is fine for clear belly caps

So the only real option currently is the ipv mini for step down? With the possibility that the newer ipv mini 2 won't do step down?

if i'm not mistaken the newer IPV mini is using a different chip, the SX300 I think? if so, it wont step down *buck voltage* the 2 mini I know of that step down are the original IPV mini and the Sigelei 30w mini, both using the SX130 chip.

Looks like the OG DNA40 screen scrambling bug was fully replicated. smh

*sigh*... inswva is feeling rough. A bad head cold means the Vaping Cheap Slug review may not go live on Saturday as planned. I'll try and get it done but the meds are kicking my tail. It is really hard to focus on writing good content while medicated.

Anyway, a couple of items showed up which will appear in future VC reviews and, coincidentally, are sold by FC. First pic is an authentic Aspire Atlantis vs. a clone Atlantis. Can you tell which is which?

Second pic is the Joyetech eGrip. I really wanted to hate this thing... but, I can't. It is actually pretty cool. I'm a lung hitter and you won't be doing any lung hits with the eGrip but it is a very nice little package. Stay tuned to VC for the review.

I'm probably going to pass out now. Best wishes to all of my FC peeps.

P.S. - much thanks to Ms. Nikki for providing the clone Atlantis for a head-to-head comparison with the OG unit. Much love. :)

Murphy's law! Anything I can do to fix it? I have used this thing no more than a full days time all together....and the worse part is I was starting to like it a little

I hear you about meds. I'm currently going through med issues myself. At least yours will be temporary and hopefully you'll get well enough quickly so that you don't need them.

I know there is a brouhaha going on in the Kanger community about the insulator material. One place where differences show between original and clone. Perhaps there's a difference on the Atlantis that would differentiate the clone because from that pic they look identical physically at least.

Yes, Joyetech, the company that's so easy to hate on because of their horrible behavior regarding selling price and keeping official dealer status. Yet they manage to pretty consistently design new things for the beginning and intermediate vapor that are better than what was around before. Sounds like their new design is another good one.

i didn't know about that dna40 issue. funny, so it's a 1:1 clone of the authentic chip, lol

Inswva, hope you feel better soon. Try Dayquil, non drowsy.

Thank you, Audrey. I'm currently medicating with a mix of Alka-Seltzer day time cold meds (which are pretty good, btw) and copious amounts of hydrocodone to alleviate the sinus pressure pain. The latter is why I'm not good with banging out any reviews right now... I may or may not be self medicating with some bourbon as well.

On a sort of related note, I haven't used a clearo since like August or September of last year. I just filled up the authentic Atlantis and tossed it on my SX Mini... and, dang, I'm really impressed... pretty amazing, actually.

When I get hit with the bug I start taking Zicam right away, it will shorten the duration, I get the drug store brand duplicate. I also start hitting the vitamins, honey and fruits. And there is nothing like mugs of good hot soups, tea's or my favorite hot mulled cider. I buy the mulled cider spice mix, add grated orange or tangelo peel and then slice it up and drop it in the cider, a little honey also adds a nice flavor. Put on the sweat's & fuzzy socks, curl up in a blanket and wrap your hands around that hot mug. :) Get well soon!

No  What was going on before this happened? Were you in the middle of vaping? Or was it off and then went to use it and got this?

I thought I was quoting Crocky  Hun these questions were addressed to you ...

Tell me what was happening when this started? I posted some questions for you below, but accidentally quoted Inswva. I will check with Robby on AAEC to see if he knows. This is where the language barrier becomes an issue, because under normal circumstance one would speak to the manufacturer.
