Speaking of the LowPro, I received mine earlier this week and finally got around to throwing a build in it. Performance-wise it's great, though it has one major flaw: the two wire slots on the side without the insulator are either cut too wide or too far away from the screws, so they won't catch the wire when tightened. I tried with twisted 27g and 30g and it wasn't working at all. The only way around this is to slightly curl the end of the coil leg(s) so that it extends into the screw well and then tighten it down directly -- unfortunately this is problematic since the screws tighten the same direction, they begin to twist the coils in opposite directions, turning it into a much more difficult atty to build on than it should be. I might post a picture or two if I can find the time.

It could have easily been a 10/10 if it were machined properly or the screw heads on the affected side were bigger, but now it's an 8/10.
I had the same issue with the lowpro, but i don't think it's that it was not machined properly though,as the authentic is the same way.It was designed for thicker gauge wire, like 24 or lower.I built a 24 gauge single coil at .4 ohms in mine, and was great for about 2 minutes haha, then it started to taste funny.I pulled the cap off,and the splash gaurd or whatever it's called that's built into the drip tip was melting and dripping plastic onto my coil.I really like the atty,so i'm going to try another build, but if it doesn't work out this time,at least it was only $8 haha.

I made a similar mistake by putting the first of my two coils too close to the bottom pin insulator and it started to melt, but fortunately I realized what was happening and quickly moved it much closer to the airhole. There certainly isn't much room for error. The Lowpro video build tutorial I watched showed one with 3.0mm ID coils which I ended up using, but one really has to be careful not to get them too close to the insulator at the bottom and the chuff cap at the top. I'll probably go with 2.5mm ID coils whenever I get around to recoiling.

Overall I'm happy with it, a worthy purchase at $8.

I hadn't even thought about the insulator,i was planning to to go alot lower on my next coil, but i don't need anything else melting on me haha.I used a 3mm coil too,and had the same thought of dropping to a 2.5.After i file the bottom of the drip tip to get the sagging plastic off,i'll throw another build in it.I love the concept of it and the size,so i definitely want to get it working right, but dripping plastic does not taste good at all haha.

Oh, I see. You were thinking of vaping with it. I just thought I'd pour chocolate milk into it and do hot coco shots. :D

It could be a cool decoration for my kitchen, but I'll have to put some kind of artwork coils in it. And make it a mod that looks antique to put it on. Steam punk or something.

Like it so far, gonna get a Heat Sink adapter for the 510 to raise the Fountain some so the glass is exposed above the Kato Top ring.

Nice! Perfect match. You know where I stand on this atty.
