My Aqua v2 hates me. I'm getting good performance if I baby it but I'll get dry hits on long pulls. I thought it was the .3 2mm single coil so I tried dual 3mm coils at .5, still not quite right... 3rd build imminent, in the meantime a lucky roll at the craps table last night let me order a subtank today :)

Edit: well on this one I could see the problem the side showing browning when I took her apart was packed tight with rayon, may try 2.4s this time anyway

I have $100 to spend and it is burning a hole in my pocket.

I will wait to see what happens.
Although I fear no one is there to fix the problem, with it being Chinese New Years.

Chinese New Year doesn't begin until 2/19. I'm not sure which holiday they are currently observing but hopefully they can get the code sorted out.

Ordered an Amod Erlkonigin on Dec. 5. It finally shipped (USPS) on Dec. 16 -- but still showing "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment". Item showed in-stock and only item in this order, i.e. no batteries, etc.

Ordered/Paid, Dec. 5
Order fulfillment, Dec. 16 -- 11 days
Shipping, Jan 2 (and counting) -- 18+ days

Had two other recent orders ship from Shenzhen -- both from FT. One shipped day before and another same day, and received them on Dec. 24 and Dec. 26.

Does FT get shipping priority over FC? Is this typical for Focalecig? And how many days before FC support will authorize/send replacement?

Fulfillment time depends largely on whether the particular item is in stock. Each item is notated with it's expected processing time before shipping. Whether that is entirely accurate or not, I couldn't say. Once the item is out the door FC has no control over delivery time, obviously. My last three orders varied wildly from the time they were accepted by EMS in Shenzen to when they hit customs here. Two orders took well over two weeks to make it stateside while one was here in five days.

And, to be fair, I've had very fast FT orders and *very* slow FT orders. But, to generalize, most of my FC and FT orders are usually in my hands within two weeks of ordering assuming the item is in stock.

Well, this vapemail didn't suck. SX Mini, Dimitri, and brass Hobo all showed up this morning.

Haven't used the Dimitri yet as I'm waiting for its batteries to be charged. SX Mini is pure awesomeness. It's the most expensive vape gear I've ever purchased and I'm convinced it is worth every penny... assuming of course it demonstrates good reliability over the long haul. It is so good I'm tempted to buy another.

I got a chance to handle a few of the clone Dimitri mods yesterday and they look good. I want to give you a pointer on one thing to check for with the Dimitri and that is the screw that goes into the bottom of the switch. This screw has to be a little loose for the locking action(turning) of the switch to work, but then the screw is not making good contact with the metal strip that it holds on the bottom of the swtich. This is no fault of the clone, as the authentic is just like this.
It is a "fine line" between this screw being too loose(not making good contact) and being too tight(not able to lock switch).
Play with it and you will see what I am speaking of. A friend of mine who had an authentic Dimitri tighten down the screw and eliminated the locking action of the switch.

I agree 100% with you on the SXMini. It by far is the best purchase I have made.

Fantastic info on the Dimitri. I was wondering why I couldn't lock the switch. Guess I'll pull out the delrin piece and play with it tonight. Since it's likely to be a "home only" mod, I may just leave it tightened up all the way and forget about the lock.

Showed in stock and "Processing time is less than 48hours for single purchase". Continued showing in stock even though support replied, "sorry for the delay due to restock process of hot items." Stock levels nor processing estimates do not seem reliable.

Yes, thanks. True 'da. Though only time I can remember FT as slow was on batteries (shipped via slow boat from China). Will force myself to wait till Tuesday before contacting support; that will be full three weeks in transit w/o reaching US.

Ordered Dec. 5 thinking I might actually receive by Christmas... Okay, sorry; no more whining. Do you know how long before they assume lost and authorize replacement?

I'm not sure on the lost/replacement policy. Please update if you go that route. I was going to inquire about it when this shipment finally showed up at customs after 18 days in the wild.

i'm playing with the magma (made the first setup, single coil, leaving one strip of cotton over the deck near the air hole, and then behind up the coil); no leaking, very good flavor, enough vapor, superb liquid capacity.
have to rebuild my other drippers as well, but also the orchid v4 from fc (i wonder how will i do it for a single coil), and the last erl i got (previous leak a bit, so will have to change something in the setup).
when i receive the kf4, and the aqua2, together with the sxmini, will share my thoughts, and we'll stick together ("c'mon, c'mon, lets stick together.." brian ferry said).

the chip from the semovar clone is total crap: it cuts off when the battery has 3.9v.. unusable. i wonder if could insert a dna board instead or something.

Aww honey .. on the Semovar clone it does have a battery level glitch, but if you remove the battery, and reinsert it then it should keep going. But yeah, that was a pain in patooty.

Nathan I am so excited for you, you got your SXmini  But I command you to get a sexier atty for it at once! :glare: *cough* Aqua V2 :D That Lemo is killing the vibe  Get the Aqua V2 or the KF V4 and use the glass tank section .. Mama said

Your hobo looks totally pimp with the SMPL, sweet .. Its official, the Dimitri is not for me :( Its too big  I don't like how it feels in hand, awkwardly large for me. So I will review it, test voltage drop, and then its outta here!

Yes honey work that out because I have never gotten a dry hit ever on the Aqua .. perfect example, just now I realized that I vaped it bone dry, to the point that my cotton wicks were back to the original color when I took the tank off to refill. But it looks like you found your problem, too much wick.

You should roll with some ... cotton baby

Can't wait for your Dimitri review and voltage drop tests (I was going type VD tests, but, um... ). It is a big device but I use a Sig100+ and the Cigreen ABS box on the regular so it's not big deal. I've gotten used to the switch now as well. I like it... at least enough to keep around until I get bored with it and want something different. :glare:

I do need an Aqua V2, for sure. The KF4? Not really my thing. I wish the UD Goblin was a little sexier looking because I will have one of those as well. Maybe the Silverplay... dunno.

Happy New Year, everybody! :)

Ugh, I'm on my Powerbook from 15 years ago that neither Photoshop nor the internet are liking. Sucks. Just won an eBay auction for a 5-year old one though, so hopefully it won't be too much longer - hopefully it'll work, found out AFTER I won that it was the one lemon that Apple sold (bad graphics chip, less than 50% success rate) - I know I owe people some Playa cards.

A little update on my Origen Genesis: I've been vaping this crappy French Toast that I've been trying to use up. On the SqR, Orchid and Heron, it's a nondescript, sweet, syrupy taste. On the Origen, I can actually taste the bread and egg in the batter. Pretty cool. :p The smell is nauseatingly sweet though, like walking into a syrup factory - glad this flavor's almost gone.

And I'm all about single coil now. On the Orchid, I just stuck an M2 screw wrapped with Teflon tape in the unused airhole...which makes me want an Aqua V2 now. Harbor Freight has these POM grommets that I've been making plugs out of - just haven't gotten around to it. I did make one for the Origen fill hole though - just couldn't take that frigging screw anymore.

I know you guys are all about regulated boxes now, but NIkki, is there a review coming up of the Praxis? And Nathan, is the brass SMPL coated like the copper one? thx
