I seeing more people going back to spaced coils, saying the flavor is better, might have to try it myself this weekend, one really good thing about the Aqua, easy to rebuild with not having to empty tank.

You are less likely to choke the wick with spaced coils, and its easier for the wick to stay fully saturated around the coils. Once upon a time the rule in rebuilding was that your coil wraps should never touch ... Then Rip Trippers invented the tight micro coil and it was a wrap. Then builds became vape porn and it was really a wrap.

I never had a need to use anything besides a 2mm ID micro coil when I was using mechs and the Hana mini clone, but once I switched to the Sigelei 100+ I was getting dry hits all over the place. I combatted by turning power down, pulsing the fire button and improving wicking technique and getting by but after I got the Subtank I found I was getting great flavor and vapor and no hint of dry hit off the OCC coils, figured it'd be worth a try on the Aqua, so far I'm liking it. Seems to me I'm getting too much heat at the center of my micros using the Sig+.

I just bought a Tobeco Aqua v2, got it from VU classifieds. The negative post (threaded so is removable from deck) has the holes drilled very poorly- to the point that two of the holes have no divider between them, creating a sort of figure eight opening. This allows the wire to skew to the side and out from under the screw that secures it.

My question: Is there a source for this part? I searched as best I could and came up empty (did find parts for the Aqua v1, it is different than the v2) but I know there are some sharp vapers here that may know where one can be found.

On a brighter note, the Aqua is as good as everyone has said. It is simple to build and fill, the removable tank section is a killer design and it even looks good. I would recommend it to anyone who is into flavor from a RTA.

Started using them again recently, with rayon it's an improvement for me. With cotton it's hit or miss, haven't found my sweet spot with wraps/diameter/density yet.

My Orchid is on a mech. Dual 26g 2.4mm, 0.4 ohm. Its quite the powerhouse vape to me.

I want an original Aqua now. Which clone is better?

My Tobecco Aqua will be here Tues. I almost can't wait.

ETA: That drip tip is disturbing on so very many levels. o_O

Finally got some time to build up the Vulcan RDA from FC and wanted to share some coil porn :)

24G Dual coils, 6 wraps each over 3mm pin came out to .3 ohms.

I like it better with my Cloud sleeve:

Overall a nice deck to build on, great design that allows for alot of juice and nice direct airflow to the coils.
Only bummer is the Knurled Brass Post screws, pure junk so I will replace them Monday with proper SS screws.

Vape quality with the stock sleeve is a little restrictive for a cloud RDA, liked it much better with my custom copper cloud sleeve.
Chucks clouds like no other LOL ;)

It makes sense, with heat radiating out from each coil, having a tight coil is going to vaporize the juice quicker then a spaced coil. A tight coil may vaporize the juice faster then the wick can supply.

You and Nailz are both banished to Time out, and have earned 5 Pow Pow's each for taunting Ms. Nikki with ugly stuff! :glare:

If I have nightmare's from this, there will be more severe consequences for both of you :glare: I see a lot of magic cubes in your futures
Good to know I haven't lost my touch and can still misbehave enough to get Pow Pow from the Temptress. :D

Close ups of my Herons with my modded 10ml juice bottle clear tanks ;)

Love my Herons. I've one with logo, 2 without and 2 in black without logo. But a clear tank option would be great. Did you by any chance describe the mod to create those clear tanks? BTW, do you use your Herons with or without fluff?

Can only use coupon on the china side, but my suggestion would be the Aqua V2, awesome atty, good flavor and hassle free tank ;)
I'm really happy with my Fogger V4.3 and V5 which are rather similar to the Aqua so I'll keep that suggestion on the back burner.

On the Kayfun V4 front, got a black version from custommodcreations done by Tobeco and also on the same day the black version being offered by focalecig (anyone know who makes it?). Haven't built either yet but want to comment on the appearance. The Tobeco version is all black. The one from focalecig has the little svetsmoe (sp?) logo in stainless along with the square part with the air holes and the drip tip. Looks very sharp. I think it'd look much nicer on a stainless steel or brass mod compared to the rather bland all black Tobeco which I think would only look good on a black mod. I'll work on pics tomorrow.

Burnie Burnie that really is a fantastic set up! Great porn darling, I knew that you would make that Semovar clone come back to life!

You guys should see the loving extremes my dear Burnie went to in order to make sure that the Nicoticket juice he sent me didn't leak during transit. I regret not taking pics of it out of the box. There was no way in heck that any juice would leak and it makes me wonder why juice companies never though of using freezer vacuum packs to ship juice ... its genius actually!

Been reading up on the Nicoticket PBC craze, its as though you sent me a bottle of Gold Burnie :) .. maybe I won't vape it all, save it just in case times get hard and I can auction it off on Ebay

Naw ... I am keeping my sweethearts juice

Being well behaved was killing you wasn't it? I feel deceived as for a moment I had thought that you were successfully reformed. :glare:

Ahh .. I realize that you cannot function properly without at least an occasional threat of violence

For those clear tanks on the Herons I used a razor and cut a 10ml juice bottle down. They actually fit nice and snug but you have to cut the to the right height, if they are too tall the air post won't seal with the deck properly and cause some leaking.

I never used fluff in my Herons, I've always wicked them with Rayon and left a fluffy tail into the juice chamber. It doesn't leak and the rayon wicks it beautifully.

Some rudimentary Dimitri porn. Built a light box this afternoon but still have to work out my lighting situation. I currently only have one desk lamp and have to light just from the top of the box right now. I'll pick up a couple of more lights for the sides of the box. I am also shooting with my iPhone until I can find the tripod for my camera.
